Hints about Safe Guard Professional Windows
                -------------------------------------------

New functions in Safe Guard Professional for Windows 1.0E :
-----------------------------------------------------------

- Support of the new function "Directory negation" from Safe Guard
  Professional 4.1B.

- Support of the new function in Safe Guard Professional 4.1B to select a
menu item for DOS, or Windows or both environments.

Corrections of the manual:
--------------------------

- The mentioned [F8]-commands in the manual at page G-17 are working in this
actual version only with the following restriction:

Any in the command included pathentry is not proceeded
  (e.g. [F8]+C:\DEMO\TXT,DOC[F8]).

- In opposition to page G-2 Safe Guard Professional Windows does only run
with version 4.0E or higher (release 23.12.93 or later) of Safe Guard
  Professional.

Known problems:
---------------

- You must not make definitions and configurations in Safe Guard Prof-
essional under WINDOWS with Safe Guard versions less 4.1B.

- Central Safe Guard programs cannot be started under WINDOWS over the
absolute pathname if the name of the server is longer than 8 characters
(this is a limitation by WINDOWS).

- Under WINDOWS for WORKGROUPS or when SHARE is active, it is only possible
to run one Safe Guard program in one session.

Fixed bugs in version 1.0C:
---------------------------

- In relation with Safe Guard Professional 4.1A DOS-applications did not
  receive their correct rights.

- It was not possible to call DOS-applications from WINDOWS-applications.

- The usage of memory intensive WINDOWS-applications could lead to self-
termination of Safe Guard Professional windows with a general protection
  fault (e. g. RegioGraph).

- The icons for new menu items were not searched automatically.

Fixed bugs in version 1.0B:
---------------------------

- In the task management it could come to program aborts when several
  tasks were active.

- When Windows for Workgroups 3.11 was active the termination of SG4-WIN.EXE
did not always terminate Windows for Workgroups 3.11 also.

- The command SG4-CTRL T + 1 displayed the error message "invalid parameter".

- When you change the rights file with the command SG4-CTRL S befor the
start of Windows, this change was not evaluated in Safe Guard Professional
  Windows.

- SG4-WIN.EXE did not read the SG- and the SG2-variable out of the Safe Guard
data area, but out of the environment.

- When the direct choice window was active the menu item "Choice of symbols.."
was also active. When this menu item was choosen it could come to system
  aborts.
