NOTES TO PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS

Separate DOS Manual Set
-----------------------

In addition to a separate installation program for users running
in a DOS-only environment, the manuals for Saber LAN Workstation
were redesigned to separate DOS functions and features from
Windows functions and features. Manuals that are specific to
DOS users are:

	SLW GETTING STARTED IN DOS
	SLW DESKTOP PROCEDURES FOR DOS

DA Key Assignments
------------------

If you are upgrading to Saber LAN Workstation 5.0, certain DA key
assignments that you used in previous versions may have been
reassigned for Saber Menu functions. This means that some of the
functions you entered in SABER.KEY may have different key
assignments for version 5.0. The keys that you can assign functions
to are:

	[F2] through [F6], and [F10]
	SHIFT plus [F2], [F3], and [F6] through [F10]
	CTRL plus [F2], [F3], [F5], and [F7] through [F10]
	ALT plus [F2], [F3], and [F5] through [F10]

-----------------------------
Menu for DOS Information Line

Your Menu for DOS information line at the top of the screen may look
different with the new version. If Menu for DOS can access the user's
login name from the network, this value is displayed in the information
line (instead of the name you entered for S_USER). If the menu system
cannot access the user's login name, it displays the value of S_USER.

PROGRAM ANOMALIES

The following information describes situations where the product may not
perform as expected. When applicable, workarounds are provided.

Installing with DOS File Sharing Support Loaded
-----------------------------------------------

If file reading problems occur during installation with DOS File Sharing
Support (SHARE.EXE) loaded, try installing without DOS Share loaded.

Print Manager for DOS
---------------------

Under certain conditions in the Print Queue Display, the system locks up. To
avoid system lockup, do not insert a job into an empty queue (using the
Insert function) or do not delete the last job in the queue.

DOCUMENTATION CORRECTIONS

SLW Getting Started in DOS
--------------------------

  Page Correction
  ---- ----------

11 You only need to have 4 megabytes of available hard disk
space, not 6 megabytes. If there is not enough space,
a message is displayed and the installation program ends.
		The DOS prompt is redisplayed.

16 In Step 3, if you want to install files into another
directory and you enter a directory name that does not
exist, you are asked if you want to create the directory
or change to an existing directory.

16 In Step 4, if you want to run the Application Scan, you
need to insert the installation diskette "DOS Disk 2."

17 After installation of Saber LAN Workstation for DOS is
completed, the DOS Menu is displayed. You are now in a
		normal DOS Menu session.
