                          How to Spot a Gino/Gina:
                          =======================
                         Cultural meaning and Style
                         --------------------------
                                    2.0
                                    ---
                                August 1993
                                -----------

        Gino (Gee'no):

One type of class that parties well, likes Miami beats
(or gino beats) and drives the following cars..

Mustangs (or ginos call them in short "stangs")
                      IROCs
                      Z 28s
                      Camaros
                      Fieros
                      Suit up Chevettes
Corvettes (or ginos call them in short "vettes")
                                (for Wealthier ginos) (production of
stopped in the early 80s, a good vette,
especially the 1977 vette is known
the most chosen among ginos, and one
can cost $8000, though this price may
                                 change in the future)
BMWs (or ginos call them "beamers")
Jeeps (mainly ginos keep Jeeps open to let
out bass from the car stereo.)
                      Motorcycles (some gino own motorcycles)
                      (other kinds)

or may not own a car. Each Gino has specific goals...

                      1) To get a nice car, (cars described above)
                      2) To get a nice car/home stereo, and
                      3) To go out in groups with nice girls.

                      And maybe...

                      4) To become a Disc Jockey, working at clubs
and/or special events. (A average Disc Jockey
                         makes $500 a night.

Some Ginos cannot afford most of these goals.

Most Ginos style their hair in curls, long in back,
and mousse or gelled back. The following order of races in Gino popularity is
shown below (comparing ALL schools, not just one):

                      1) Italian
                      2) Greek
                      3) Armanean (sp?)
                      4) Portugese
                      5) African (or Jamaican)
                      6) Chinese
                      7) Indian
                      ....(Rest depends).

Girls that like gino (miami beat) music and act like Ginos are
known as "GINAS", or singular... "GINA".

I commend most emphatically on that beautiful catalogue that describes:

               WHAT A GINO IS?

Some Ginos/Ginas get offended to be called GINOS/GINAS. A few I know,
even take enormous pride.

There are several other distinctive characteristics they possess:

               * those Ginos who own one of the above vehicles
never hesitate to hold the keys in their hands
(the rare times they're not driving their cars)
                 and cling-clang-a-jingle-jingle them continu-
                 ously. [That's what I do :-)]

               * if there is a Gino/Gina that does not smoke,
they either have asthma, or they are just not
                 Gino's/Gina's. (Some Ginos/Ginas don't smoke).

               * for those ever fashion-conscious Gina's, there
is the pale faces and the [european] darker skin
faces, the hair styles just like their friends'
ie: black or dark brown permed or naturally curly
                 gelled hair-clipped doos, and that
                 crimson-candyapple-maxi-gloss red lipstick which,
if worn properly and many Gina's lined up in a
field could safely land a small aircraft during
                 foggy weather.

               * Most Ginos wear at least one pair of cowboy boots
some wear docks with red laces (will be described
in more detail below), and some wear leather shoes,
a quarter of a million white T-shirts and thick
black belts for their faded and occasionally torn
jeans usually black color (Levi's perferred <don't
forget the car keys>), and many Ginos wear baggy
                 black or bage pants too.

Some Ginas don't like lipstick, or even use hair spray (but a
VERY few.).

Ginos DRIVE CARS WITH ONE HAND and the other arm is USUALLY
resting outside the window, during the summer, OR ginos
drive with their left hand and put their right arm straight
resting on the back support of the front seats.

MOST GINOS GET GOOD CAR SYSTEMS, some ginos that don't get much
cash must at least have a tape deck in their parent's car.

Ginos TRULY originated from Miami from African-Americans and
Spanese-Americans. Once it reached Canada the Italians dominated the music
as their own to hear and love thus "Miami beats" has become "Gino beats",
hence the italian names "gino" and "gina". Later on Gino music and style
has been growing rapidly, soon to influence many european and asian races.

One can describe ginos/ginas like this:

Milli Vanilli type of music...You know Diamond Girl kinda of stuff..
A stench of Polo cologne (Now Eternity's used more often than Polo)
... Enuff Hairspray with Barry Melrose type of hairdo... Vinni
Bobbarino accents (and you don't have to be italian to be a gino)...
They love to hang out at donut shops... and they smoke DuMaurier
         Regulars..

Many ginos/ginas don't bother graduating in high school until 20
         years old.

Ginos/Ginas hang around at the donut shops comparing cars and
comparing car stereos and having stereo blasting contests to see who has
the loudest car stereo system. Ginos/Ginas like other ginos/ginas as
family. That's the one thing anyone never understood...and that goes
for any group of people who can be easily identified as 'this' or 'that'.

Ginos wear LOTS White T-Shirts with cologne names such as...

        Eternity
        Polo
        (and many more)

        and other T-Shirts like

        B.O.S.S. International
        B.U.M. International
Italian flag inprint on the front or back of a T-Shirt
        Also alot of white tanktops
        (and many more)

There are many old and new famous Gino songs out there...

Johnny O - Second best male gino singer
Timmy T - Third best male gino singer

                         Girl
Timmy T's hits: Please don't go - THE ORIGINAL (later copyed as
                        house by different singer)

Little Suzie - Best MODERN Female gino singer today
TKA - Best MODERN male group gino singer today

        Little Suzie's hit: Take me
        TKA - Maria

(This may be obsolete in the future)

        ETC.!

Most gino/gina singers use there last names as initials.
The origin of this music came from Miami, originally known as Miami
beats. Madonna song the first Gino beat (she only sang 2-3 Gino songs in her
early years) in 1979. By 1986, Gino beats have been spreading like fire,
this was the initial beginning of Gino popularity.

Ginos are all one big family...one Gino knows many other ginos, like
a mafia except no crime but partying and togetherness.

Gino music was one of the rarest to get in the 80s. Order to get the
music anyone had to get it in Dave's Dance Music between 1:00pm-4:00pm
Sunday on CKLN 88.1 . Now it's available in many stores, even Sam the
Record Man! But it is still hard to find on radio, though you can find
gino music on 98.5 fm on Friday nights (played alot at that time).

Most Ginos use alot of cologne, which you can smell from a far
distance.

Most Ginos use their hands a lot when they speak.

Many Ginos claim to be in leagues with the Mafia. Either that,
or they claim to own several handguns (though they cannot be proven if
they are telling the truth or not).

Yeah, and I just realized something else to... To the
African-Canadian, Ginos hate blacks and are considered the #1 racial
group against blacks, BUT some Ginos (like me) aren't racist to any
black people. A black Gino is always highly respected among ginos, since
Steve B is a black gino singer and the best there is. But to the blacks,
they are also most racist to the Ginos (at least most of them). Also
Beaters (Males) and Wiggers (Females) (white who act black) and Ginos
hate each other too (except some Ginos like me, because I have MANY
black and beater and even CHINESE friends). The way Ginos express racism
against blacks and beaters/wiggers are by wearing docks with red laces
(So to the African-Canadian, beaters and wiggers, keep an eye on what
ginos wear.). BTW, a gino friend of mine knows a Chinese gino.
