I THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW: Health Tips for Teens

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We missed talking about the commemoration of Child Health Day (October 1)
last month in the profusion of health celebrations that occurred during the
month but it is not too late to take advantage of a special brochure that was
produced to help our young people. Offered by MetLife, and entitled "Health
Tips for Teens" it addresses some of the worries and questions that teens
often have. These concerns include personal appearance, school work and
relationships with the other sex, as well as smoking, drinking and drug use.
Containing sections on "Growth and Weight" and "Snacks and Mini-meals" the
booklet is crammed full of easy to understand, important information. This 10
page publication also offers a list of reading suggestions and the addresses
of other resources. Single copies of the booklet are available free of
charge. Send your request along with a stamped self-addressed business size
envelope DIRECTLY to "Health Tips for Teens", Health and Safety Education,
Area 16-UV, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, One Madison Avenue, New York,
NY 10010. When it arrives make certain that your youngster reads it.
