DOOM Deathmatch Ver.2 .LMP Recorded Film Submissions
           ----------------------------------------------------

  Here's a bunch of Alt-DeathMatch Four and Three-Player (IPX) Net-DOOM
.LMP recordings using "HALLSALL.WAD" Episode for you all to savour :-)

Please Note that these .LMP files will ONLY work with (A Modified Copy
of) The Registered DOOM.WAD Version 1.2 !! (More on this topic later.)

Because of this, these .LMP files should IMHO be classified as Version
1.2 .LMP files, rather than 1.5 Beta .LMP Files. They WON'T WORK with
Just the 1.5 Beta "Free" Shareware Release of DOOM - You MUST HAVE the
DOOM.WAD from the Registered Version of DOOM, Version 1.2 ONLY. Okay?

[ They should sit quite nicely next to RAL3MAN.ZIP. They're 1.2 .LMPS too! ]

  Deep Breath ...

These .LMP file recordings were made with Jan Ignatius & Osku Salerma's
HALLSALL.WAD DeathMatch!! Episode using the DOOM.EXE from the 1.5 Beta
"ShareWare" Release of DOOM together with a Version of the Registered
(10Mb Long) 1.2 DOOM.WAD that had been modified by Eric Leung's Patch
Contained in his 15REGVR2.ZIP package to be 1.5 Beta compatible ...

Don't Panic if this all sounds way too complicated ... I think, I've put
it all together in a fairly simple to use set of .ZIP archives and also
written a set of .BAT files to make it all flow without too much thought
or intervention on the part of ... well, you lot I suppose.

Bottom line - What do you need to be able to view these .LMP files?

Before you skip the below ... there is a Much Simpler SHORT Answer ;-)

The LONG answer goes a bit like this. You need ...

  1) You need the Registered Version 1.2 of DOOM for it's (10Mb) .WAD

  2) You also require a copy of DOOM.EXE from the "Free" ShareWare Beta
test release of DOOM Version 1.5 (That's if it's still available)

  3) Next you need to get hold of a copy of 15REGVR2.ZIP (which had
disappeared from INFANT2 last time I looked there) in order to
patch the Registered 1.2 .WAD to be 1.5 Beta compatible.

  4) HALLSALL.WAD contained in HALLSALL.ZIP. If you're .WAD collector
then you've probably already got this since, well, it's probably
one of, if not, The Best (DeathMatch) .WAD available. However,
these .LMP recordings will not work with the older HALLS16.WAD,
either of the identical but buggy HALLS1-9.WAD or HALLS19.WAD,
nor will they work with the newer HALLSPRO.WAD and since the two
authors of "HALLS" request that the older versions be deleted -
The HALLSALL.WAD might not remain to be freely available. [ So, I
think this is a bit of a mistake on the part of the authors :-) ]

       [ Quick update on this Situation - They're Gone !!! :-((( ]

  5) Finally "a stupid little program" (his words not mine) by the name
of LMPC10.EXE by Terry Echiverri can be Very handy indeed - it
changes the "player perspective" of a .LMP file so that you can
"hear" and "feel" the recording from a players view-point other
than the one that was used when recording the .LMP. It does this
by simply re-writing one byte in the .LMP's header information -
Offset 08 in hex (that's the nineth byte) if I remember Rightly.
     00 is Green an if avalable use 01 - Indigo, 02 - Brown, 03 - Red.

So, to the small number of idiots out there that are posting (Big)
.LMP files from more than one perspective - You really don't need
to do this - Yes, we know that they may be different lengths and
so don't "COMP" very easily but find two that just happen to be
the same length and "COMP" them ... Different by Just One Byte !

Terry (or Anyone) - Could you re-write this little utility so I
     could use a Command Line such as : "LMPC20 4HALL2[.LMP] [3 or I]"
to achieve the same result - it would work heaps better that way.

  6) And finally - Carefully put them all together ready to go ...

So, if you've already got the Registered 1.2 DOOM.WAD, the 1.5 beta
  DOOM.EXE and the HALLSALL.WAD and optionally Eric's 15REGVR2.ZIP and
Terry's LMPC10.EXE and you've got the ability to get it all going,
  Then you only need the ?HALL?.ZIP in RAL4HAL1.ZIP & RAL4HAL2.ZIP :-)

I suppose you're wondering why I wrote all of the above ... errmmm,
so am I now, but ... well it's there now, so there.

The SHORT answer - You need ...

  Three "RAL4HAL?.ZIP" Files ...

RAL4HAL1.ZIP Which Should be About 1,100,000 Bytes Long
RAL4HAL2.ZIP Which Should be About 700,000 Bytes Long

Episodes similar in progressive size and difficulty,

Title : Halls of Death (Episode of deathmatch wads)
Filename : hallsALL.wad
Author : Jan Ignatius, Osku Salerma
Email Address : osku@muncca.fi
Description : These levels are designed especially for
deathmatch. They're great fun at even two
players games, but with a LOT of playtesting
we have found out that the more players you
                          have, the more fun :)

Note: We removed the jails from level 6 and modified
the lava pit so you can get up from it.

We also included extract.bat, which extracts
the sounds from hallsall.wad and inserts them
permanently into doom.wad. It requires that
dmaud is in the doom directory. Run the bat
from doom directory. You still aren't allowed
                          to spread them, though.

Additional Credits to : Raphael Quinet, Colin Reed, for making deu and
                          bsp.

Jari Lanteri, for converting the music on
levels e1m3 and e1m9. And all the other
music authors, whose midi files we picked
out of a large midi-collection. We also
changed them a bit to make them sound better
on GUS. (Oskus note: I don't have a gus :))

Level-specific notes:

E1M1: There's a prison in this level. If you walk over certain
linedefs you'll teleport to prison. You can't see out from there, but
your enemies WILL see you from outside, and then it's just a matter of
seconds until you're dead. So, run carefully ;-)

E1M4: There IS a way to exit on your own, but it's too hard for you to
figure out :) The first one to mail us a demo showing how he/she does it
gets his/her name on the next release of Halls of Death :)

Also, the first one to walk thru a certain doorway to a specific
direction gets teleported to a place where there is a lot of goodies
around. Including BFG. BUT, only one person can get there, and then it's
gone forever..

E1M2: The only weapons on medium/hard difficulty level are chaingun and
shotgun. At easy level, there's also a rocket launcher included.

E1M8: This level is actually a co-operative level, but we decided to
include it anyway :) You can still play it in deathmatch, though, it's
just not as good in deathmatch as in co-op.

E1M9: To exit press the button behind the plasma, and three areas (
secret lifts :)) will go down, and you must jump down with them to the
maze, where you will find the exit switch. )

Back again - this is ME now ...

& Once Again - This collection of .LMP Files will ONLY WORK with the
DOOM.WAD from a Full "Registered" copy of DOOM Version 1.2, or more
precisely if the DOOM.WAD is Not "10,399,316" bytes long, Or it is
  Not date-stamped "17/02/94" With a time-stanp of "1:20" it will NOT
WORK. So if the .WAD has been modified in any way, you should get a
"Clean" copy from your Back-Up's or Re-Install DOOM From "Scratch"!

However, Note that this DOOM.WAD WILL itself Get Modified in order
to view these .LMP files so if you've not got a good Back-Up or are
Not prepared to Re-install it from scratch you should *STOP NOW* !!

Right then I'll begin - Assuming you've got each of the files :

RAL4HAL1.ZIP Which Should be About 1,100,000 Bytes Long
RAL4HAL2.ZIP Which Should be About 700,000 Bytes Long
RAL4HAL3.ZIP Which Should be About 800,000 Bytes Long

So, choose a drive with "plenty" of free space - PkUnZip'd, these
files will take up about 2.6 Mb but the Required DOOM.WAD is over
10.4 Mb and the following routines need another 3.6 Mb of space -

Bottom line - you'll need just under 17 MegaBytes of Free Space !!!

  0) Boot-Up your (Faster-the-Better) PC in "Ready-to-Run-DOOM" Mode.

  1) Make a Separate DIRectory for all of the RAL4HALL files.

     eg. MD C:\HALLSALL

  2) PkUnZip each of the RAL4HAL?.ZIP into this DIRectory ...

     eg. PkUnZip [d:\pathname\]RAL4HAL1 C:\HALLSALL /N
         PkUnZip [d:\pathname\]RAL4HAL2 C:\HALLSALL /N
         PkUnZip [d:\pathname\]RAL4HAL3 C:\HALLSALL /N

Where "d:\pathname\" is the drive and path to each RAL4HAL?.ZIP.
If the RAL4HAL? .ZIP's are on your first floppy this is - "A:\"

If you don't use an /N switch (for "newer files only") (or an /O
switch for "overwrite existing files") then you will get some :-

"... already exists. Overwrite (y/n/a/r)?" prompts.

If so just answer these any way you like ;-) it doesn't really
matter at all but All Y(es) or All N(o) responces is sensible.

  3) Now, I Suggest that you make All of the files in this DIRectory
READ-Only - so that you can later issue a "Del *.*" in this DIR
without losing any of these files (it will save a bit of space)

     eg. Attrib +R *.* ( while in the "C:\HALLSALL>" DIR )

  4) Then Move or Copy or PkUnZip a Registered Version 1.2 DOOM.WAD
to the DIRectory where you've just put all the RAL4HALL files.

Exactly how you do this I'll leave entirely up to you ...
But I'll just say that anyone that has multiple copies of a
(Compressable ;-) Ten MegaByte file on their drive ... Well ??

So You're Now Ready to run MY Very Own "SETHALL" .BAT Setup File !!

But before you do, Please Make Sure you've got DOS and PkUnZip on
the DOS "Path" [ Right I've just added a "Can't FIND "FIND" Error"
to MY "SetHall.BAT" and that's the LAST Time I Edit the Damn thing
  - Every Time I look at it I end up Adding yet Another Error-Check
  line-or-four to it !! I'm NOT looking again ... Grumble, grumble ]

[ If there are (any more) problems with my "SetHall.Bat" I'll
have a "Jolly-Good-Go" at fixing them, and then release the
fix as a (very) short "RAL4BAT2" then 3 then 4 ".ZIP" file!
This is, of course, Assuming that people d/l and like this! ]

Please Read the following ... BEFORE Running MY "SetHall" .BAT :-

This is Basically what "SetHall" Does ...

First of all it checks for the presence of the DOOM.WAD file.

Then it Displays how much free disk space is required. If there is
Not enough - You must tell it whether or Not to proceed. [ It will
Bug-Out (later on - though probably with a Very Wrong and UnHelpful
Error message) if there's not enough free disk space. ] Please try
to give the program the correct response to this helpful Prompt.

Also it will try to determine whether or NOT both DOS and PkUnZip
are on the DOS Path - If Not then it will quite sensibly Bug-Out.

Next it checks the DOOM.WAD to see if it's already Patched-Up to be
"1.5 Beta Compatible" - If Not, Is it capable of being patched and
If so it will Patch it up to be "1.5 Beta Compatible".

After this step, it will then Check for DOOM.EXE, HALLSALL.WAD and
LMPC10.EXE :-) If they are Not Present, It will then Look For and
PkUnZip their corresponding .ZIP files, while checking for errors
as it proceeds. If any Errors do occur it will stop and (hopefully)
give a "meaningful" error message. [ This may Not occur in every
case! ] If SetHall complains that it doesn't like the "look" of a
particular file - then you may well have run out of disk space -
Delete the file that SetHall doesn't like the look of and Try it
again (taking extra-special care over the free-disk-space prompt).

This is "Actually" what "SetHall" Does ...

(You can skip over this part if you like!)

    Is DOOM.WAD Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
Is there sufficient Free Space? - If NOT Bug-Out!
(It gives the relavent no.'s But you must tell it)
This is together with a very crude ...
Is DOS (or rather "FIND") on the Path? - If NOT Bug-Out!
Is PkUnZip on the Path? - If NOT Bug-Out!
    Is DOOM.WAD "1.5 Beta" Patched?
If NOT Is DOOM.WAD Ver. 1.2? - If NOT Bug-Out!
           Is 15REGVR2.ZIP Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
           PkUnZip 15REGVR2
And Patch 1.2 .WAD to "1.5 Beta"
           Also Delete Patch Files
    Is DOOM.WAD Present? + - If NOT Bug-Out!
    Is DOOM.WAD "1.5 Beta" - If NOT Bug-Out!
    Is DOOM.EXE Present?
If NOT Is SLIM15DB.ZIP Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
           PkUnZip SLIM15DB
    Is DOOM.EXE Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
     + Is DOOM.EXE Good? - If NOT Bug-Out!
    Is HALLSALL.WAD Present?
If NOT IS HALLSALL.ZIP Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
           PkUnZip HALLSALL
    Is HALLSALL.WAD Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
     + Is HALLSALL.WAD Good? - If NOT Bug-Out!
    Is LMPC10.EXE Present?
If NOT Is LMPC10.ZIP Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!
           PkUnZip LMPC10
    Is LMPC10.EXE Present? - If NOT Bug-Out!

Only Then is Everything Declared ...
    OKay!

Notice the (rather large) number of "Bug-OUT!" Checks - These are
(mostly) All different ie. they should result in different (and, I
hope, relevant) Error messages. However, they shouldn't occur quite
as often as you may initially think, from viewing the above list,
especially if the .BAT is running on the files "derived" from the
  RAL4HAL? set of .ZIP files.

Re-running "SetHall" _should_ be quite safe - I've designed it to
ONLY initialise the "stuff" that it needs to in order to be ready
to view the .LMP files - it won't re-do anything that is required
(to view the .LMP files) that has already been done.

[ Oops! One rather Silly Exception - it doesn't check to see if
the DOOM "SETUP.EXE" file is present should only SETUP.EXE be
deleted without also deleting the "DOOM.EXE" file - this is a
bit unlikely but would NOT in fact prevent the viewing of the
the .LMP files - they would just be rather Quiet !!! Assuming
the "Default.CFG" GAME Settings file had Also got Blown Away. ]

I've tried (really quite hard) to make this .BAT "bullet proof" but
but it could bug out unexpectedly - I don't have an extensive set
of "bata-testers" to blow holes through it - I've only tested this
myself on "my" (it's not actually mine - just "mine" to use :-) own
machine but "C-mon it's only a .BAT". If it's buggy in some way on
your PC with your Config.etc - you could have a go at it yourself.

Final Note - The actual .LMP files remain as compessed .ZIP files.
They'll get decompressed on-the-fly by "PlayLmp" as Called by the
"GoHall?" .BAT's (and then deleted) as and when they're required.

NOW (that you know what it's all going to try to do) RUN "SETHALL"
                                                       ------------

If everything has gone All Right you should see the following :

NOTE - Remember to Run "SetUp" to tell DOOM what SoundCard You Have!

OKAY! Hopefully everything has gone All Right, so Run GOHALL[2 to 9]

Which is a Reminder to First Run DOOM's "SETUP.EXE" to tell it what
"Type" of Sound Card You've got if it's different from mine ...

  Genuine SB-Pro-Delux :- Port 220 - IRQ 5 - DMA 1 - 3 Channels

You'll only need to do this Once

  Then make Default.CFG READ-Only !
[ I'll write More on this Later ]

  Then Use :-) Enjoy !! - Have Fun watching us Get ... FRAG'd !!!

  GOHALL2.BAT
  GOHALL3.BAT
  GOHALL4.BAT
  GOHALL5.BAT
  GOHALL6.BAT
  GOHALL7.BAT
  GOHALL9.BAT

  OR ...

PLAYLMP.BAT with name of ".LMP" file WithOut the ".ZIP" extension

In Case you DON't follow this Last bit - You May recall that the
".LMP" files Remain as their Compressed ".ZIP" files - It is MY
"PLAYLMP" .BAT (which is called by each of the "GoHall?" .BAT's)
  that De-compresses the "LMP".ZIP into it's .LMP file on-the-fly
as it is required (and then deletes it when it's not ... saving
a "not inconsiderable" amout of disk space :-)

Now, IF you've followed the suggestions to make the various files
  READ-Only ...

When you're done with viewing the .LMP's - this means temporarily
Not "done" for good - you can save a few (or a lot of) Mb of disk
space by keeping just the files that were used to expand the .ZIP
files together with the .ZIP files themselves. The "Big" Question
is - Have you got that UnModified copy of the "DOOM.WAD" from the
Registered Version of 1.2 easily available somewhere? If you have
then you can save quite a lot of disk space, by deleting the "1.5
Beta" modified DOOM.WAD - This can easily be re-created next time
you'd like to view the .LMP's by re-running the SetHall .BAT file

First, Make Absolutely Sure that you're in the Right DIRectory !

You'll get "SAD" if you're in a wrong DIRectory - I've seen this
happen a few times and I know that you really wouldn't want this

So check that the "Right Files" are READ-Only by : "ATTRIB *.*"

If they are -And you're in the right DIR- Just do ... "DEL *.*"

Then, the next time you want to view the .LMP's simply follow
Step "4) ... " of the "Install - Setup" Routine.

And then Run the "SetHall" .BAT again.

  When you're Done ... "Del *.*"

  And Repeat.

  Ramblings Follow ...

You can skip the following stuff if you're not interrested ...

How's about this for a handy Space Saving idea ...
In short ... Use self-extracting archive files ?

  Elaborate ...

  Take that 10+Mb DOOM.WAD file
> PkZip DOOM-WAD DOOM.WAD /EX
You'll need 10+Mb free to achieve this
  Then check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-WAD.ZIP
  [ Del DOOM.WAD ]
  Make it self-extracting by
> Zip2Exe DOOM-WAD.Zip
You'll need 4+Mb free to achieve this
  Check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-WAD.EXE
  [ Del DOOM-WAD.ZIP ]
> Attrib +R DOOM-WAD.EXE

  Result,
  10+Mb DOOM.WAD --> 4+Mb DOOM-WAD.EXE

Then when you want to play,
you'll need that 10+Mb of free space
  only temporarily!

  ie.
  DOOM-WAD
  DOOM {Kick Butt}
  REM > DOOM.WAD

If anything wants to modify DOOM.WAD - No Problem
It can be "Restored" exactly !!

You can do similar to DOOM.EXE ...

  Take that 1~Mb DOOM.EXE file
> PkZip DOOM-EXE DOOM.EXE /EX
You'll need 1~Mb free to achieve this
  Then check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-EXE.ZIP
  [ Del DOOM.EXE ]
  Make it self-extracting by
> Zip2Exe DOOM-EXE.Zip
You'll need <1Mb free to achieve this
  Check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-EXE.EXE
  [ Del DOOM-EXE.ZIP ]
> Attrib +R DOOM-EXE.EXE

If anything wants to modify DOOM.EXE - No Problem
It can be "Restored" exactly !!

Alternativly DO the WHOLE damn Directory ...

Install DOOM (You don't want savegames and stuff like that)

  Take that 12+Mb DOOM DIRectory
> PkZip DOOM-DIR *.* /EX
You'll need 12+Mb free to achieve this
  Then check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-DIR.ZIP
  [ Del DOOM.WAD ]
  Make it self-extracting by
> Zip2Exe DOOM-DIR.Zip
You'll need 6+Mb free to achieve this
  Check it's OKay with
> PkUnZip /T DOOM-DIR.EXE
  [ Del DOOM-DIR.ZIP ]
> Attrib +R DOOM-DIR.EXE
  [ Del *.* ]

Then when you want to play,
you'll need that 12+Mb of free space
  only temporarily!

  ie.
  DOOM-DIR
  COPY \DOOM\BACKUP\*.* \DOOM
  [SETUP]
  DOOM {Kick Butt}
  COPY default.cfg \DOOM\BACKUP
  COPY savegames \DOOM\BACKUP
  DEL \DOOM\*.*

If anything wants to modify DOOM.WAD - No Problem
It can be "Restored" exactly !!

If anything wants to modify DOOM.EXE - No Problem
It can be "Restored" exactly !!

If you've got Both Versions of DOOM on you Drive
  PKSFX Both of Them !!

  Result,
  10+Mb DOOM.WAD --> 4+Mb DOOM-WAD.EXE
  Plus,
  10+Mb DOOM.WAD --> 4+Mb DOOM-WAD.EXE
  Total,
  20+Mb DOOM.WAD's --> 8+Mb DOOM-WAD.EXE

Then when you want to play,
you'll still need that 10+Mb of free space
  only temporarily!

  Just a thought!

  S.

Tip, IMNSHO, it's still better NOT to Bother with -

  "Double-Trouble-Drive-Space" - It's still too risky and
                               - It takes up too much RAM

Remember, when you've run out of below 1 Mb RAM
NO amount of , can buy you any more :-(((

  Ramblings Follow ...

Little Tip for those that don't already know - When you're viewing
these ".LMP" files (or Any other .LMP's :-) you Can Still use "ESC"
to access the main menu in order to change, for example, the screen
size as well as it's detail and also the sound volume and "balance"

Shift(and)"+" or Shift(and)"-" and "F11" (Gamma) should also work.

Just a Quick Word or three about the Tactics you may observe ...

  (Very) Basically ...

S UU - Find a Good Supply Area & Try to make the best of it.
I can quite annoyed at getting FRAG'd and try to LIV!!

CRIS - Tends to proceed cautiously picking up a steady count
of FRAGs as he goes along - good at avoiding trouble?

ANDY - Charges right on in there - picks up a Good Tally of
FRAGs but also gets himself FRAG'd quite a lot - Wild!

DAVE - Often isn't too sure where he's going - a slow mover.
You may notice that, on occasion, he may seem to get
"picked-on" - well he's the Boss so that's Only Fair!

In case you were wondering these .LMP's were recorded using a .BAT
called "GO" (which was the same on each of the nodes) containing :

  "IPXSETUP -Nodes 4 -AltDeath -Skill 2 -Warp 1 X -File 151.WAD ...
   ... HallsAll.WAD -MaxDemo 2048 -Record Record"

This was, of course, ALL on one line and the "X" was the number of
the level that was played. The resulting "Record.LMP" got ReName'd
  to "4HALLX.LMP" then PkZip2'd "4HALLX 4HALLX.LMP -EX", and Save'd!

Well, I was going to write a whole load of stuff about the .BAT files
that I wrote to get this all flowing smoothly and stuff about each of
the .LMP files but I've spent _Hours_ on all of this already and I'm
sure I could've done something more with my weekend (now drawing to a
close). Only "0ReadMe.1st" to write for "you lot" then I'll get back
to this and sometime maybe get around to posting this bunch-of-files.

I'm Sorry about all that messing about with a different DOOM.EXE and
the requirement to patch the DOOM.WAD but we started recording these
.LMP files quite a while ago and so we had a "common denominator" of
DOOM 1.5 etc. and it's taken a while to get around (DOOM 1.6(66;-))
to posting these .LMP's. Anyway ... I Hope you like 'em - they could
work rather well as glorified "screen savers" - but that would need
yet more work on another .BAT - so off you go now ...

  A Quick note about Slim15db.Zip :-

This is The DOOM 1.5 Beta Release WITHOUT the 4Mb DOOM1.WAD (which is
a "Waste-of-Space" (BUT ONLY) as far as the "RAL4HALL" .LMP files are
concerned :-) And Also Without the README.EXE (to prevent confusion).
I really hope id aren't TOO Bothered by this - but IF they are ... I
haven't asked their permission (I suppose I really should have done!)
... Well bugger me - Delete RAL4HAL3 - and let the poor DOOM-ers out
there find the DOOM 1.5 beta as well as the HALLSALL.WAD themselves !

But Note that BOTH of these have disappeared from The INFANT2 Site !!

So if you can't find the RAL4HAL3.ZIP file - You Know WHY! :-((((((((

If I'm gong to make any FUTURE Posts - I/We will probably go along
with DOOM 1.666 (Now that the Registered "Patch" has been released)
and If We use "HALLS???.WAD" again, it'll be the "HALLSPRO.WAD" or
a "Newer" Version (should their be another one). On the other hand,
I/We may well try something completely different. And so Baring in
mind that these posts are (mainly:) intended for those of you that
are unfortunate enough to have never seen a multi-player DOOM game
never mind having taken part in one ... what would you like to see
  Next ??? ...
  Anything? ...
  Nothing? ...
  Requests? ...
  Be Quiet ???

Just a Quick Note about that (C) Bit in both the SetHall & PlayLmp
.BAT's - No they're NOT serious. Yeah, they've taken me a while to
put together (with "N" years of .BAT "programming experience" - if
you can call it that :-) and all that Jazz :-) Jack-Rabbit :-) But
feel free to do whatever you like with them :-) heck, I am posting
these "to/for" the whole damn world (And Not just the "US of A" :-)
and so, do with them whatever you like. If you learn anything from
them (Eh Mr. FOREST Author) well, that's Great! - but It would be
nice to get SOME credit for "showing the way".

And Finally ... If you like these .LMP's or find the .BAT's useful
or whatever, it would be rather nice to recieve some (not necessary
to answer - though at the present time I try to reply to everything
  that I recieve) E-mail saying so ... When I Posted the RAL3MAN.ZIP
of Three-Player Co-operative Recordings of Every Level of the First
Episode of DOOM - ALL in Less than Six Minutes (because of the 1.2
  DOOM Game Limitations - I got practically Bugger-all feed back ! -
[ Though this may well have been because I didn't actually include
my E-mail address in the posting 'cos I feared my tiny IBM-"style"
being mail-bombed! But anyway ] Thanks to "you" in the "C.S.I.G.A."
News Group that said - "WOW - Amazing" Yes, I did get some (!), and
a Very Big FOAD to the idiots that said "Why don't you Record (and
then Post) some DeathMatch recorded .LMP's" When the .DOCumentation
Specifically Stated that this Was NOT Possible !!! :-((

Two PS.'s from RAL3MAN.DOC that I'm still looking for answers to :

PS. Does anyone out there know what makes Green - Green; Indigo -
Indigo; (and) Browm - Brown (; and Red - Red). Each time we played
we'd be the same colour marine but we were unable to fix our man-
colours any other way. Does anyone know how, or if, it is possible
to assign different marine colours to different nodes ? I wanna be
black (sorry Indigo) - Green is too bleeding obvious out there and
they always team up and waste me in a deathmatch :( I wonder Y :)

PPS. Is it possible to cheat [iddqd] in a Net-DOOM Game ? Just ME
you understand (I won't tell) - which file(s) need to be hacked ?

Many Thanx 8=)) that's a big :-) to the following...

id Software - For creating such an Incredibly Amazing Game !

Jan Ignatius & Osku Salerma- For their HALLSALL DeathMatch Episode

id Software - For creating such an Incredibly Amazing Game !!

Eric Leung - For Version 2 of his Registered 1.2 to 1.5 Beta Patch

id Software - For creating such an Incredibly Amazing Game !!!

Terry Echiverri - For his "stupid little program" LMP View Changer

  And Also ...

Jean-Serge Gagnon - Author of FOREST.WAD and now also DMCHECK.EXE!

DMCHECK a utility to check the version of DOOM, to check if the
installed version is registered or not, to verify the available
free disk space, to change or display the date / time of a file
and to show a prompt while waiting for a key to be pressed as a
    responce.

This will be usefull mostly for .PWAD authors that want to make
sure the user has the proper DOOM version(s) and that the files
    haven't been modified.

It works with ERRORLEVEL codes - so can be used in batch files.

This would have been VERY usefull to me in actually putting all
of this together, "if only" it had been written before I did my
.BAT ;-( Anyway you should be able to find this little utility
      up on INFANT2 somewhere with a filename of - "DMCHK???.ZIP" ;-)

        Hey Jean-Serge,
Thanx for the "li'l. cred." I've never had one before now ;-)

Hank Leukart - "Official" DOOM FAQ maintainer - Brilliant Stuff!

[ If you'd wanted to add any part of RAL3MAN.DOC to it, that
          would've been fine, but I suppose you've no free time :-(( ]

Barry Bloom - "Official" maintainer of the "Official" DOOM-Only
FTP SITE - Originally "OCF.---.---" but some twat
killed it (go on Barry - give us the name of this
bloke - one day he'll come up against a dedicated
DOOMer, then we'll 'ave 'im !!), Now the place to
                  look is "INFANT2.SPHS.INDIANA.EDU" /pub/doom/...
Great Site, thanks to Barry and those that upload
to it - check it out (if you can), it's the BEST!

Alan C. Wen - For showing us the way with your DOOM walkthru's
                  that's E1-LMPS.EXE, E2-LMPS.EXE and E3-LMPS.EXE.

[ But Please - let's have no more of those 3+ Mb
                   .LMP 2-man -NoMonsters DeathMatches :-(( OKay? ]

Bill Neisius - author of DMAUD - Gave us so much amusement :-)
           (also author of DMGraph)

RanDOOM author - whoever you may be - Makes the game much less
predictable - great for DeathMatch sessions !

Authors of DEU and the other DOOM editors and ".WAD" creators.

D.D. G.R. and the Big Bad Bosses and... argh, it's a Baron...
  Rocket Lanuchers Ready...

I'll be Happy to Recieve E-mail about these .LMP Postings.
Or about my Earlyer "Anon." RAL3MAN Postings.
Or even about my "PurpLmps" Posting.

PS: See RAL3MAN.ADD then d/l the .ZIP 'cos it's bloody brilliant, OK ;-)

In case you were wondering ...
They are multi/three-player recordings of Every Level of Episode One
which WILL WORK using Version 1.2 of DOOM, Registered or ShareWare !
... And they said it Couldn't be Done! ... So We Prooved 'em Wrong !

PPS: See also PURPLMPS.ZIP - That's Mine Too (With the wrong Email addr?)
