How Fmany times have people looked up into the night sky and seen Fmoving lights that they were unable to explain? Many Fsightings also take place during the day and although many of Fthese are easily explained as atmospheric phenomena, aircraft For other common airborne object, there are just as many which Fdefy explanation. The aircraft was at 2,00 feet and traveling at F175 mph when a saucer-shaped glowing and apparently solid Fobject overtook the plane. The object paced the aircraft Fand then accelerated to an estimated 400 miles per hour. FThe sighting was confirmed by the Robert Manning, co-pilot. The UFO's were on a collision course but quickly Fmanuvered to avoid the aircraft. Pilots of all three Faircraft saw the UFO's. The National Guard pilot exclaimed F'Damn, they almost got me!'. Carpenter estimated their speed at approximately F3,000 miles per hour which is far greater than any aircraft Fof the day. When he attempted to run, Ftwo beings appeared and fired some type of beam at him Fwhich paralyzed and blinded him temporarily. He Fmanaged to make his way to a local doctor who discovered a Fburn mark on Mr. Carrasco's cheek. In February of 1954, radar detected an object Fabout ten miles from the base and closing. A few minutes Flater, the tower personnel sighted the craft as it passed Foverhead. It was completely silent and apparently shaped Fslightly like a conventional aircraft although all of the Fwitnesses were quick to point out that it was not a known Faircraft of any type. It descended quickly from about 15,000 Ffeet to 5,000 feet and proceeded to make a low pass over Fthe city. He later commented that the craft seemed to be Funder some type of intelligent control and was moving at Fapproximately 1,000 miles per hour. As they rounded a curve in the Froad, they saw a diamond-shaped craft hovering at about Ftreetop level. It was brightly lit and had flames shooting Ffrom the bottom. The flames were close enough to the car Fthat it became hot and the occupants were unable to touch Fthe door handles for fear of being burned. They also saw Fseveral helicopters which were later identified as CH-47 FChinooks escorting the object. FColby Landrum was physically burned on his face and other Fexposed areas as well as having problems with his eyes. FThere have been several explanations over the years as to Fwhat this object was. One such theory states that it was Fan unshielded nuclear reactor which was being moved by the Fgovernment following an accident of some kind. The burns Fsuffered by the witnesses may support this. Another theory Fholds that it was a recovered alien spacecraft that the Fgovernment was taking into captivity. FFurther insight can be gained from the fact that when two Fof the witnesses attempted to sue the government on the Fgrounds that it was some sort of American device, the case Fwas dismissed on the grounds that the U.S. government did Fnot own or operate any such device. This is particularly Finteresting when one considers the fact that some type of Fradioactive device was being carted around (or flying under Fits own power) by someone operating american helicopters. The being was dressed in a transparent Fsuit that covered his entire three or four foot body. It Fbegan to walk towards her, and without hesitation, she ran Foff into the trees. The UFO had Fused a powerful searchlight to check out the ground below Fthem and came across the Aeroflot aircraft. FAn investigation done by the U.S. Air Force stated that any Faircraft that was in the area at the time of the sighting Fdid not match the description given by the two pilots, Ftherefore, the case was dismissed. (The Fidentity of the witness and the location are suppressed at Fthe witness's request.) On November 1, 1968, before four Fo'clock in the morning the doctor awoke to the the cries of Fhis youny baby boy. Through the shutters, at which the Ftoddler was pointing, the doctor could see what appeared to Fbe flashes of light. Not considering it was anything out Fof the ordinary, he proceeded to give the child a drink of Fwater after which he opened a large window. The doctor Fobserved two disc-shaped UFOs, white on top and red beneath. FThe objects seemed to be growing in size which appeared to Fmean they were moving towards the house. The flashes of light Fthat the doctor had observed early were being projected Fbetween the two discs. While watching, the two discs merged Finto each other, becoming one large disc. The large dics Fflipped over and fired a beam of light directly at the doctor. FWith a loud bang the disc disappeared leaving a hazy presence Fin the air. The doctor had injured his leg while chopping Fwood a few days earlier and at the time of the incident still Fhad a painful bruise. Further back, during the Algerian War, Fhe had suffered some severe wounds and partial paralysis. FAfter the UFO encounter, all of these pains and difficulties Fdisappeared. A red triangular pigmentation appeared around Fthe doctor's navel a few days later. The toddler, too, had Fthe same shape and marking appear on his stomach. The Fmarkings reocurred for many years. An examination of these Fmarkings could not determine the cause. The marks were Frecorded on film years after the event. When Mr. FHigdon turned to face the man, he realized this was, in Ffact, not another hunter. It had no lips, Flarge teeth, small eyes, yellow skin, no ears and an Fantenna sticking out of his forehead. Mr. Higdon noticed Fa cube-shaped UFO sitting nearby with the elk that he had Fshot at. These elk were frozen. Mr. Higdon was taken and Fwired up to machinery that he cannot describe and taken to Fwhat he believes to be the life forms home planet. Due Fto its altitude, he was able to see through 4-power Fbinoculars and calculate that it was approximately 3-5 Ffeet in diameter. FIt then began to ascend, moving diagonally upwards toward Fthe northeast. It made no sound and was very bright. His headlights failed Fand the truck stopped as the UFO moved slowly over the road. FIt then picked up speed and flew off quickly. His truck was Freturned to normal and he was able to continue on his way. FMr. Farlow reported that there was the smell of burning wood Fin the air. Another witness was on the same road a short Fdistance away in his stalled car and was able to verify Mr. FFarlow's story. The center of the object changed from red to Fgreen and the entire object grew and shrank in size several Ftimes. The Portugese aircraft was part of a formation Fand several of the pilots of other planes in the formation Fnoticed the object. Flynn was camping in the Everglades in March, 1965 Fwhen, about midnight, he witnessed an object descending about Fone mile away. His first thought was that it was a plane in Ftrouble making an emergency landing. He drove his swamp Fbuggy toward where he saw the object come down with the Fintention of helping. He could see a light emanating from Fthe object through the trees. Because of the dense vegetation Fhe was forced to park his buggy about a quarter mile from the Fobject. Continuing on foot, he approached a clearing in which Fhe saw a large cone-shaped object hovering near the ground. FIt was about 75 feet wide and approximately 25 feet high with Frows of lighted windows or portholes on the side. As he Fapproached, he was struck by a beam of light which knocked him Funconscious and partially blinded him.
