The Search facility will produce a list of every Fentry containing the text you have entered. Click on the F'Search' button on the main menu bar at the top of the Fscreen or press the letter 'S'. Between these fields are the words F'And' & 'Or' next to checkboxes. To use the search facility Fwith 'And' or 'Or', enter text into the first field then Fpress the tab key. Notice that the dotted line box around Fthe first field will move to the 'And' checkbox. By Fpressing Enter at this point will place a check in the box. FIf you want to use 'Or', press the tab key again and the Ffield selector will move to the 'Or' checkbox. If you press FEnter here, it will place a check mark in this box. Then Fpress tab again and go to the second text field. Enter any Ftext you wish in this field. Now press the F2 function key. FThis will start the search. Suppose you entered the word F'USA' in the first text field and the word 'sighting' in the Fsecond field. Let's also suppose that you selected the 'And' Foption. When the F2 key is pressed, the search facility Fwill find any entries in the system which contain BOTH the Fwords USA and sighting. F FNear the bottom of the search pad are two options, 'Case FSensitive' and 'Whole Words Only'. These are additional Foptions which help control which entries are retrieved. FCase Sensitive means that all of the letters in the text Fyou entered must match exactly, both upper and lower case Fletters. For example if Case Sensitive box was checked the Fword ARIZONA would not match the word arizona even though Fthey are spelled the same. FWhole Words Only means that any text you enter must match Fas a whole word and not part of a word. For example, if Fyou entered the word 'Sight' and the Whole Words Only Fbox was checked then any entry contining the word 'Sighting' Fwould not match. The word 'Sight' would have to be found Fby itself.
