Move these files to your X-Wing directory and type SPRREBL.
Type UNSUPER to restore old files.

Welcome to the world of Super Rebels! This is a replacement file for X-Wing
with the B-Wing add on missions. It gives you the chance to kick some Empire
bootie with brand-new state of the art Rebel Starfighters!

Upgrades to the starfighters include:

-instant target aquisition for ABXY using torps and/or missiles
-2x the shields for X, A, B, and Y-Wings
-ion cannons for X-Wings
-3x the speed for all fighters
-improved pitch and roll on ABXY and Calamari Cruisers
-lightning fast Corvettes (BEWARE: Empire CRV's get this too)
-600 rounds of heat-seeking lasers on X- and Y-Wings
-600 rounds of heat-seeking ions on B-Wings
-3x the amount of torps and/or missiles
-faster and more agile frigates (double-edged sword!)
-2 more silos of lasers on A- and Y-Wings
-lasers and projectiles fire at turbo speeds
-near instantaneous acceleration
-and plenty more udgrades I forgot about!

        Here's The Deal

The files included will replace a file called BFLIGHT.OVL in your C:\XWING
directory. BFLIGHT.OVL supplies X-Wing with all the facts on starcraft,
good and evil. When you activate the batch file included, you get all the
starfighter upgrades listed and a few more.

Here are just a few notes:

-ships that originally didn't have the weapons added on, will not have
their own power meter or a number of how many more projectiles are left
-ships that have ions added on will run out after about 200 are fired
-I'd thought I'd tell you that once you start going really fast, it takes
a long time to slow down
-only some of the upgrades will have an effect on your wingmen, such as
 shields, speed, and manuverability
-you can only have 16 projectiles on the screen at once, and since you now
have turbo on, you can only hold the trigger for a second or two
-heat seeking lasers and ions don't have their own real names in the game; on
my computer it says "Mission Resume fired" for lasers and "L lauchers fired"
for the ions; don't worry about it
-as I mentioned in the upgrade list, Empire CRV's and Frigates get all the
same improvements as the Rebel ones do
-and, finally, the Y-Wings you have to disable in Imperial Pursuit get all the
upgrades also, so expect a challenge (if you want, type UNSUPER to put back
 the original BFLIGHT.OVL)

I'd would like to take this chance to plug a few of the great programs for
X-Wing.

First there is LucasArts' for making one of the best simulation games ever.

The second is X-Wing Ship Editor v 4.0 by Mark Schlageter.
I used this great program to make this file and its sister files SPREMPIR
(for all you who think the Empire just isn't strong enough) and SPRFRGHT (just
makes all capital ships and freighters faster).

Of course, if you ever get really bored of the missions that came with X-Wing,
you can make your own with XMB, the X-Wing Mission Builder by Neal Westfall.

And if you are as lazy as me, you can get XPASS and X_REMAP by Matt Hart,
which shoves those passwords into XWING, and imporves the keyboard controls.

My Little Disclaimer

If anything goes wrong with XWING, I can't be held responsible. This was in
no way made by LuscasArts, so don't bother them if anything goes wrong. If
you want to change this stuff in any way, be my guest, because these files
are completely freeware. If you feel the need to thank me, send money to the
people below, they did a lot more work than I did.
