As a newcommer to SC2000, I've struggled with proper city layout. I
seem to spend all my time trying to survive. So I built Easy00.sav as
a learning tool. Here's how to use it.

Copy Easy00.sav to Easy01.sc2 from the DOS prompt. I named it Easy00
so I could name various attempts as Easy01, Easy02, ect. Once copied,
open SC2000 and "Load Saved City, Easy01.sc2". You will open in
Terrain mode where you can mess with the landscape and click on "Done"
to get on with it.

After reading the newspaper, pause the game "Speed, Pause" to keep
nasty things from hapening, and select "Disaster, None". I find it
better to keep it paused when laying out roads, ect. to keep from
waiting every time I want to do something.

You have LOTS of waterfalls so you can use Hydro-Electric Power
Plants. You can add them as you need them, so go easy at the
beginning (start from the bottom). I recommend Hydros because until
you get up to speed you will not want to spend the money every 50 years
to replace coal or whatever.

As I layout a city, I stick a tree in a "boundry" square where
I will want a road, tracks, ect. someday. This keeps me from leaving
my plan (sometimes).

When you're ready to begin another city, start from the top again.

That's it... except don't forget to get some sleep every day or two!
