SAVER INFORMATION
-----------------------------------------------------

1. Colors

The Windows version requires a 256 color display and adapter. This was necessary to create the three dimensional images seen in Dancing Opus, and Rat Race, and to provide us with enough colors to provide the amount of detail seen in Uneasy Rider and Opus of the Jungle.

Users with ATI video drivers in 256 colors may notice that the palette is incorrect in Rat Race and in the Information Highway. Some "reds" may be displayed in "white". This can be corrected by selecting the Optimizing 16 Colors option (this may cause the palette for the 16 color modules to be incorrect).

2. Sound

While sound is highly recommended, it is not required to enjoy the modules in this update.

If you do not have a Microsoft Windows compatible sound card, you can play sound through your PC speaker by loading the speaker driver (SPEAKR.DRV) from your original Opus 'n Bill diskettes (disk 1). The driver must be installed through the Windows Control Panel (see your Windows documentation for information on adding device drivers). If you have a sound card you do not need to load the PC speaker driver.

3. System Requirements

256 color display adapter and monitor
4 MB RAM
2 MB free hard disk space
Windows compatible sound board highly recommended

4. General Notes

If you install an older version of Intermission 4.0 (this includes Opus 'n Bill 1.1) after you install this Hackers Club release you will experience problems with the new 256 color modules. You should rerun the Hackers Club installation to update all of your files.

This will not be a problem if you install the earlier version of the Hackers Club since both releases of the Hackers Club use the same animation engine.
