Thank you for trying Tass Times in Troll Town! This semi-quality adventure was created through lots of my work and others' work as well, so I would appreciate it if you did not try to "crack" my password and modify my game.

Summary
Tass Times in Troll Town (TTITT)'s name is a take-off of an old game called Tass Times in Tone Town. But the game is totally different. Troll Town is a humorous, corny game set in the AD&D Forgotten Realms world. It may not have much else to do with the FR world, though.

Requirements
You must have the FORGOTTEN REALMS UNLIMITED ADVENTURES construction kit, published by SSI, and a computer capable of running it. Tass Times in Troll Town runs as a "program" inside of FRUA.

Installation
	1) Presumably, since you're reading this file, you managed to unzip it using PKZIP.
I hope that you unzipped it with the -D option, so that places all of this stuff within the appropriate directories. (ie. this should be in C:\FRUA\TASSTIME.DSN if your hard drive is C: and you store FRUA in the directory \FRUA.) If not, unzip it using the following command:
	PKUNZIP -D TASSTIME.ZIP

	2) Boot up FRUA as you would if you were creating a design, and SELECT A DESIGN. Choose Tass Times in Troll Town. Then, just start the adventure! Have fun!

Some Background
There isn't much background to this. Your party has charitably decided to participate in the Dorganon Charity Walk. (Your past exploits have been left out of this background, as they are basically unnecessary.) The charity walk is the start of the adventure, but rest assured that things change a lot in very little time!

The Sample Party
The sample party is a fairly strong one, but one that you could easily make yourself if you spent the time. They were made using the same rules that your characters will be made under (if you choose to make your own). The sample party includes Venom Valiant, Drizzt Dr'ouden, Krezber (the Krazed, but the full name wouldn't fit), Patch, Dark Sun, and Silesia Storm. Thanks to Shaka and Che Thornhill, and Allen Wirtensen for the party.

Recommendations
Have several magic-users, or fighter/MU mixes. They seem to work well in this campaign. Rest often and fully in places where it's safe. I wouldn't rest in the Drow Caverns, for example, but outside is a good spot, or anywhere there's a small town.
Keep notes of barroom conversations (except for silly ones), because you'll need them.
Take everything in the game with a tablespoon of salt (not just a grain), because that's how it was written.

Author's Notes
I started this adventure the day I walked in WalkAmerica, the charity walk to prevent birth defects, so that basically explains where I got the Dorganon Charity Walk from. I hadn't really seen a corny D&D adventure, so I decided to do one of my own, resulting in many of the bad puns and even worse jokes that appear in the game. It's not that it's a bad game, it's just that it gets a little silly. But, again, I did it to be different than the others.
The names of the items were taken from my friends' names. (Yes, the cheap way out. <G>) For example, the Talisman of Rosen comes from my friend Talisman on Prodigy who goes by the alias Talisman (Rosen is part of his real last name). The Hotshot Ring is named after another person on Prodigy. The Echo Flute is named so for my friend and playtester Eric Olsen. (Long story.) Finally, the Selavon Marker is named after "Guess Who"? Even Raven, the NPC, is named after my friend Shaka's D&D character. I admit that it's kinda weak to find names this way, but I wasn't feeling too creative.

Warranty and Disclaimer
Schizophrenic Penguin Productions (SPP) will guarantee that this game, "TASS TIMES IN TROLL TOWN" is certifiably corny. The author will not take any liability for groan-induced ulcers caused by the jokes within the game. SPP does not guarantee that the game will not conflict with your specific system--this is the "Sampler"'s responsibility. (However, I will say that if you can run the Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures program, you should be able to run TTITT.) SPP also does not condone piracy of the Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures program in order to play this or any other games created with it. (So don't copy that floppy!)

Shareware Plea
Here's the deal with Tass Times. If you like the game, cool. If you don't like the game, cool too. Here's why:
	1) If you like the game, please "register" it by sending a small donation and your return address to the address that appears at the bottom of this document. In exchange, I will give you the password to the game, plus answers and clues for the few riddles contained within the game. If you also include an "online" address (such as one on GEnie or Compuserve--I don't do AOL yet), I will try to notify you if we put out any further releases, be it with BTCS or FRUA as our engine.
	2) If you don't like the game, give it to a friend (or enemy) to sample it. Feel free to delete it off your hard drive, burn the manual in effigy, or curse the name of SPP forever and ever. Please just give the COMPLETE game (docs and all) to someone else--if they like it and register, you're supporting the shareware concept as much as they are. And shareware makes not only this game but hundreds of others (including such smash hits as Wolfenstein-3D) possible.
