PREMISE:
Reindeer, like Banff Springs is characterized by its tall pines
and spectacular scenery. The mountains are close up and the beautiful
Reindeer Lake resides within them. Although Banff is the main attraction
in the area, many golfers often take that short drive down to the lake
to catch a round or two at Reindeer. At Reindeer Lake you'll spend the
early part of your round hitting over the much smaller Fawn lake. We have
collected almost 6,000 balls in that lake so make sure you bring enough with
you. Moving on you will find yourself challenged by a rewarding 9th before
heading to the clubhouse. The back nine opens to three of the most preeminent
holes on the course located along the southern border of Lake Reindeer.
Its these holes that keeps the golfers coming back for
more. The 12th, which is the signature hole, is a beautiful par 3 that if
the prevailing southwest wind is strong, you're in for and interesting ride.
It is the wind coming in off the Lake that gives this hole its identity.
Holes 14 - 18 take you through a series of doglegs and the rugged terrain that
this area has been known to provide. Included is the co-signature hole, #16,
that will question your ability to drive. If you pay attention, you might
just catch a Reindeer watching you play from a distance. Gordon and I hope
you enjoy your round(s) at Reindeer Lake and that you found this course worth
the cost of the download. We would be glad to hear any comments or criticisms
you might have, and can be reached on Prodigy or by mail.

ABOUT THE COURSE:
Reindeer Lake represents a first design effort from Gordon Chisholm
and Raymond Beck, The original idea, basic layout and the majority of the
holes were routed by Ray and then passed on to Gordon for the
completion of the course. Gordons objectives were to complete the routing
on holes 9, 17 & 18, finalize the course overview, add additional objects
and hole quotes, technically check, playtest, and fine tune the entire
course. I must add that Gordons objectives were carried out wonderfully
and in doing so his efforts were not only appreciated but they brought
together what we think is a beautiful well designed course. Reindeer was
designed and intended to resemble Banff as far as the area, objects, and
the rugged terrain. In doing so, we hope that our design effort has
captured that same environment and brings you pleasure in playing golf at
one of the most scenic areas of North America.

CREDITS:

Background: In our opinion, Scott Chesney's Banff Springs background is one
of the best that we have seen to date. We would like to thank him
for his course, objects, and of course that magnificent background.

Objects: From a variety of different courses. We would like to
take this opportunity to thank the various other "user-
designers" whose objects were used on this course.

Scott Chesney - Banff Springs and Gabrielle's Garden
             Mark Willett - Mulligan's Point(version #2) and Cherry Hills
Brian Silvernail - Original issue of Rolling Evergreen
Ted Maiden - Objects from Cherry Hills may be his; we don't know
                          know for sure.

We have no idea whether or not these objects were done by the
individual course designers. These are the courses we
"borrowed" them from, and for that reason we gave credit to
the course designers. If the objects were done by someone
else, and only used by the designers, this is not meant as a
slight to the original designers. Objects in JNUG, and now
JNSE, seem to have a habit of moving around fairly easily,
and it's very hard to keep track of who did what object.
