The idea for Chastity Springs came from my last days in the Marine
Corps. With two weeks left in the service a few of my friends wanted to
go out and celebrate. It was a little early for the local pubs so we de-
cided to grab a couple bottles and head for Charlotte. We ended up in the
State Park and I was truly impressed with its natural beauty. The lakes
had Weeping Willows surrounding them and actually sweeping into the water.
Heavy brush was everywhere with colorful shrubs and flowers spotted here
and there at just the right places.
That's the effect I wanted to create with Chastity, that natural look
that makes you want to come back. It's not an easy course, the green's are
more difficult than I usually make them and if water intimidates you some
of the holes will be extremely difficult.Hole #2 has perhaps the toughest
  green,sloping sharply from back to front.It's a par 3 that you"ll definitely
want to play close to the pin.My favorite view is from the tee at #15,though
I also like the simple, natural look from #17.
Special thanks to Lee Ritze for his bench and ball cleaner from St Andrews
also to Gene Rodriguez III for his pine from Nahabino. The Weeping Willow
may look familar,I borrowed a much often used tree,a true compliment to a
great object, and converted it using the trunk. It's the light green willow
with the white trunk. My compliments to its maker whoever you are and I hope
you like the new look.I also used a small elm I had made for Happy Hollow
and a small pine I created for Timberwolf. The rest of the objects are
  original for this course.
I hope you enjoy Chastity and if your interested in my other courses I"ll
  list them.
