                         Late Program Changes for
Simply Accounting for Windows version 3.0

This file contains information that is not included in the Simply
Accounting manuals, or that has changed since the manuals went to press.
We suggest you print out this file and note all changes in the manual.

Payroll Ledger

Some of the screen illustrations in the manual show the Deduct UI:
Rate field with a percent sign next to it. However, the UI rate is a
factor, not a percentage. (The program calculates UI correctly; only
the text on the screen was incorrect.) The program has been changed to
remove the percent sign; please ignore the sign if you notice it in
  the manual.

Getting Started Manual, Appendix A

Appendix A in the Getting Started manual describes the new features you
will see in Simply Accounting after updating to version 3.0 from version
2.0. The "New Payroll Deductions" section states that you can now specify
whether the program subtracts each payroll deduction before or after the
taxes that apply to your employees. However, this feature is not new; it was
  also available in version 2.0.

Using CA-RET

In the User Guide, Appendix B, Table 35 lists fields in the PROJINC.RET
file. This table should appear as follows:
  __________________________________________________________________
Table 35. Other Fields in the PROJINC.RET File
  __________________________________________________________________

Current_Rev Current total revenue for the project.
Current_Exp Current total expense for the project.
  Net_Loss Calculates CURRENT_TOT_EXP minus CURRENT_TOT_REV.
