README.TXT

The software for "Souping Up Windows" is stored in compressed files on
the enclosed floppy disks. You must run the installation program to
install the software to your hard drive.

Read the README.TXT file on disk number one for information.

1. Insert the book's disk in your floppy drive. From Windows File Manager
or Program Manager, choose File + Run from the menu.

2. Type <drive>INSTALL and press Enter.
<drive> is the letter of the drive that holds the floppy disk.
For example, if the disk in drive B:, type B:INSTALL and press Enter.

3. You will be given the choice of a Full Install or Custom Install.
Choose Full Install if you have the hard drive space - this will
install all the software on both disks. If you are low on hard drive
space, you can choose Custom Install and install only selected
   programs.

Follow the on-screen instructions in the installation program.

The files will be automatically installed to a directory named SOUPWIN,
unless you choose to change this name during the install program.

When the files you've chosen have been installed, the file SOUPWIN.TXT
will be displayed. This file contains information about the installed
software.

The installation program will also create a Program Manager group named
"Souping Up Windows", which contains the icons for the programs you
choose to install.
