FILES generated 11/15/94	- Supercedes Prerelease 1.0

All the following files except README and truespac.exe go into the WINDOWS
directory:

README This file.
GEN 3DR Generic 3DR driver
MGA 3DR MGA driver, 4MB PCI card required.
3DR DLL 3DR front end
3DR INI
3DR32 DLL 3DR front end, win32s
3DRSYS DLL 3DR system file.
TRUESPAC EXE Caligari Truespace which works with 3DR.

Now some DO's and DONT's:

1. When using the generic driver (display=gen.3dr in 3dr.ini) on an MGA card,
for optimal performance, please DO use the NON-MODE_SWITCHED driver,
	preferably in 64K color mode.

If you see the picture still being rendered slowly (possibly with dither),
add the following line to the
	system.ini file, [mga.drv] section.
	DevBits=OFF

2. When using the MGA driver (display=mga.3dr in 3dr.ini) ,
PLEASE DO USE THE MODE_SWITCHED driver. Only the
mode switched driver enables 3D rendering using the PCI 4MB MGA card.
[Make sure the 3D option is enabled in the control panel].
Both 8bpp and 16bpp modes are supported

3.	Please DON'T run more than one 3DR app at a time (using the mga.3dr driver).
This causes some instabilities, directly related to the alpha state of this
	driver.

4. Please DON'T move a window so that its left edge moves to the left of the
screen. This causes the mga driver to behave strangely. (mga.3dr problem,
my fault, too late to fix for this release).

MISC INFO:
=========
5. Some of the rendering artefacts in truespac.exe (especially bad jaggies) are
probably not 3DR's fault. They are directly related to insufficient Z
resolution coming in from truespac.exe. I'll badger Roger Hagen to fix these
	ASAP.

6.	Rendering performance of caligari is typically much higher on Weitek/ATI/S3
cards when using the generic driver gen.3dr, than when using the generic
	driver on the MGA.

7.	Other than the above problems, things seem to be quite solid.
Light source animations on the truespace demos look particularly impressive.
The speed of demo3d.exe is quite impressive, considering the MGA driver
needs a lot more TLC to make it perform optimally. Another day...

Good Luck.
