This document provides revisions to the SoftSolutions 4.0
Utilities Reference, dated 5-12-94, for updating to SoftSolutions
4.1.

>> Utilities Shipped p. 6

Remove SWNW3Gsu, SWNW3Sec, SSNW3Gsu, and SSNW3Sec from the table.
These are no longer supported.

>> Novell NetWare-specific Functions p. 8

Remove this heading and its accompanying text (NW3Gsu and
NW3Sec).

>> Utilities p. 19

Remove NW3Gsu and NW3Sec from the listing on this page.

>> ChgNum p. 32

Add the following to the paragraph under "Functional
Description":

If error 538 is received when adding Profiles, it means
Profiles are being overwritten---ChgNum should first be used
to bump the current Profile number to the next available
     number.

>> ChgPro - Syntax p. 35

Add the following switch information under "Optional Switches":

/NOMOVE (do not move the Profile)

>> ChgPro - Specifications p. 37

Add the following Field Name and Description to the table on this
page:

          ArcDir Archive Directory

>> Copy - Specifications p. 41

Add the following to the last sentence of the first paragraph
under "Specifications":

... and the "Revised by" field will be blanked.

>> CrePro - Syntax p. 43

In the description under "Arguments - [Program]," change
"WPMERGE.BAT" to "WPMERG.BAT."

>> CrePro - Examples p. 46

In step 1., change "WPMERGE.BAT" to "WPMERG.BAT."

>> CrePro - Examples p. 47

In "Example 2," change "WPMERGE.BAT" to "WPMERG.BAT."

>> FixLF - Specifications p. 58

Add the following after the last sentence (above the "Examples"
heading):

If the location is being changed from a drive letter to
server/volume, be sure to add a trailing backslash to the
     server/volume name. For example:

          G:\ to ADM/SYS:\
     not
          G:\ to ADM/SYS:

>> ImpPro - Syntax p. 78

Add the following optional switch after "Log=":

/NORENM (add Profiles for documents to SoftSolutions,
maintaining the CURRENT file and path names of the
               documents---without using this switch, imported
files can only be copied or moved)

>> NW3Gsu pp. 107-110

Delete these pages. This utility is no longer needed.

>> NW3Sec pp. 111-115

Delete these pages. This utility is no longer needed.

>> Prof p. 128

Add the following sentence to the first paragraph under
"Functional Description":

Flexible document directory structures are allowed.

>> Prof p. 128

Add the following paragraph after the paragraph under
"Compatibility":

ProFound 2.1 users should select 3.0, not 2.0, when SSProf
asks for their ProFound version to prevent dates from being
     incorrectly converted.

>> Prof p. 129

Replace the next to the last paragraph with the following two
paragraphs:

The user is prompted to specify the levels of directories
they use (e.g., "AUTHOR\DEPT\OPERATOR"). Possible answers
are 1, 2 or 3. If the user only uses two levels, the above
directory structure example would then be "AUTHOR\DEPT."
The user must then enter the directory level number (e.g.,
     1, 2 or 3).

SSProf then prompts the user to enter department codes and
their associated section main directories. Once all of the
departments have been entered, the user can press F7 to
     continue.

>> Prof p. 130

Replace the first paragraph on this page with:

SSProf then creates an ASCII-delimited file named IMPORT.TXT
and a text file named IMPORT.DEF, which the standard
SoftSolutions import utility named ImpPro uses for the final
step of importation. Each line in IMPORT.TXT contains an
ASCII field for each field in the first two columns of the
Detail Document Card Report, as well as the DOS path and
filename of the document file. The file IMPORT.TXT is then
     used by ImpPro.

>> WinBil p. 139

Add the following to the first sentence under the "Functional
Description" heading:

... (e.g., WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Ami Pro).

>> WinBil p. 139

Change the last sentence under the "Functional Description"
heading to read:

When an application is open, SIWinBil records the number of
keystrokes (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Lotus Ami Pro only)
and the amount of ACTIVE time in the window.
