VistaCom brings telecommunication to multimedia.

VistaCom are renowned for high quality, real-time, video
technology; the first with videophones back in the 80's and
today, market leaders of high end, PC based, H.320 video codecs.

Now VistaCom is coming to multimedia, a new range of products
that is a start for bringing real video communication to the
desktop. The following products are the cornerstones of the
bridge between large videoconferencing setups and desktop PC's.
The reality of using your PC for talking to colleagues, sharing
applications and even seeing them has come of age. Full screen,
moving images is now obtainable via your telephone line...just
plug in VistaCom technology!

VPEG-4 A software only video decoder, see real-time video on
your PC via your modem and telephone network using VPEG-4. Some
manufacturers are trying to push through a lower quality
standard, with VPEG-4 you can see motion, color, pictures at
full screen size and not a tiny window as others are.

This software forms part of large range of video codec
technology. The following are products for the professional
market and inquiries from VARs and OEMs are particularly
welcome.

PowerCOM A powerful multimedia board that features;

	*dual video overlay,

	*video capture,

	*audio card,

	*application sharer

	*performs H.221 multimedia communication

add one of the "piggyback" boards and the PC grows into;

*face-to-face video over normal telephone lines via your modem
			or
	*full videoconferencing via ISDN connections.

PowerCOM is powerful -it can work at high data rates to produce
a high-performance kit for group-to-group conferencing over
ISDN, but also it can work over PSTN using regular 14.4 kbps
modems.

To start, you only need a regular PC with one slot, even when
you add a motion color video codec booster board, only one slot
is needed!

Third party network boards for ISDN and LAN are supported.

VCOM Booster Boards
We have a variety of add-on video booster
boards, which can be added on the top of PowerCOM, piggyback
style, to add motion video compression. It's simple to add,
just plug-in the on-board connectors and bingo!, your versatile
overlay board turns into a full H.320 codec. The following
versions are available:

VCOM CL
Video compression engine which can add H.320/QCIF compression
for 56 kbps to 128 kbps communications over ISDN (BRI)

			and

H.32P/VPEG-4 (pre-standard method) for PSTN communication at
bit rates of 9.6 to 28.8 kbps, using regular modems.

VCOM GL
Video compression engine which adds H.320/CIF compression
for 56 kbps up to 128 kbps communications.

VCOM GLX
Video compression engine which adds H.320/CIF compression
for 56 kbps up to 384 kbps communications.

That's right! With the PowerCOM, and its options, you can do a
lot more than with a regular overlay board, but don't forget
these other VistaCom system level components. These other
components may be of use when integrating a complete end-user
system, the full product!

VistaAir 2.0 Windows based Graphical User Interface and
communication software for ISDN.

RST 1.0 Windows based Graphical User Interface and communication
software for client server applications.

AVX-10 Auxiliary equipment kit which includes a camera,
microphone, loudspeaker and cables.

VCI-100 VistaCom's high-end codec, for up to T1 and 2 Mbps
communication applications.

VistaConf-500 Stand-alone codec software (DOS). Turns a PC
chassis and VistaCom codec in to a stand-alone H.320
videoconferencing codec. Just power on, and it works as a codec.

VCI 3.0 API Development kit for OEMs and other advanced users.
Application programming interface for Windows, DOS and SCO
UNIX. Includes comprehensive documentation of both hardware and
software. Ask about the OEM support program.

Third Party Products A wide range of third party boards (e.g.
for ISDN) and software, from independent developers, is
available... adding value to the open VistaCom multimedia and
videoconferencing platform. Consult our sales offices for
further information.
