Inspiration 4.0a Release Notes

*   Installation disks
        There are only two disks (not three) in the Inspiration
        installation disk set.

*    Video Display
        Inspiration works properly with most video cards and video display
        drivers.
	However, The following video cards and drivers have caused
	display anomalies with Inspiration:
        . Video 7 Mirage
        . Some Gateway minidesktop computers with Cirrus Logic internal
            video board with Intel 5428

    With these video cards, the window background does not display
    properly. These video problems can usually be corrected by
    changing video drivers (using Windows Setup) to a different video
    driver. We suggest using either VGA or Super VGA.

*    Printing
        Some HP LaserJet printers in low resolution (150 dpi or less)
        do not work properly with Inspiration. In normal resolution
        (300 dpi or above), Inspiration prints properly.

*    Postscript Printing requirements
        If you are printing with Postscript, a minimum of 4 megabytes
        of printer memory is required for 300 dpi printing. More
        memory may be required for higher resolutions or if you use
        many fonts.

*    VSafe virus protection
        If using VSafe, it must be installed properly in both DOS and
        Windows. If it is not installed properly in Windows,
        Inspiration will not install properly.

        For details on installing VSafe, see the section "Using VSafe"
        in Chapter 3 of the MS-DOS Concise Users Guide.

        During Installation you may get warnings from VSafe that INSP.EXE
        is about to be changed. This is normal. Click OK.

        After installation, you may continue to get warnings from VSafe
        that INSP.EXE has been changed. To eliminate these warnings you
        need to run Microsoft Anti-Virus to update the information used
        by VSafe.

*    Manual Errata
        On page 6 of the Getting Started manual, step 10-12 are not needed.
        There are only two disks in the installation disk set.

        On page 3 of the Getting Started manual reference is made to the
        files HSIOPICT.DLL and HSIIPICT.DLL. These filenames are
        incorrect. The files are actually named INSOPICT.DLL and
        INSIPICT.DLL.

        On page 18 of the Getting Started manual, step 2 refers to the
        "Helvetica" font. This should be "Arial".
