			  ARCserve Changer Option v2.01
				     4/28/94

This readme file contains important information on the ARCserve Changer
Option. Please read this before proceeding with the installation.

1. ARCserve 5.01 or higher must already be installed on the server where the
changer is to be installed. The ARCserve Changer Option will only work
     with ARCserve 5.01 or higher.

2. There is a new TAPECOPY.NLM that is included with this release. New
parameters have been included specific to the changer. The new syntax
     is as follows:

	e.g. LOAD TAPECOPY /S1 /D2 /TS10 /TD30 /C

/S<SCSI ID> - SCSI ID of source tape drive
/D<SCSI ID> - SCSI ID of destination tape drive
	  /TS<slot number> - Slot number of source
          /TD<slot number> - Slot number of destination
/C - Compare after copy intiated

For help, just type LOAD TAPECOPY at the file server console.

3. Do NOT unload TAPECOPY.NLM when a tape copy operation is running. The NLM
will unload but the tape drives will be hung. The changer group will then
need to be unloaded and reloaded.

4. All tapes should be returned to their slots before initiating a MOUNT
via the Tape Server Changer Device Management.

5. The Changer Testing Cycle option available via the file server Device
Management cannot be aborted once it has started. It will go through
the specified number of cycles before any other operations may be
     initiated.

6. Before initiating an unload of ARCserve (ASTOP), you should exit
the Changer Device Management screen on the file server console.
Otherwise, an error will be returned stating that TAPESVR.NLM must be
     unloaded first.

7. In the ARCserve Manager's Device Management, the group assignment for a
changer should not be removed. Once removed, the group assignment cannot
be assigned as a changer again. A re-installation will need to be
     performed again.

8. Changers which use LUN 1 (Logical Unit Number 1) will not work properly
with the IBM SCSI and the NetFrame IOP controller boards only. This
problem will be addressed very shortly. Please contact Cheyenne for an
     update if this applies.

9. Import/Format/Erase tape operations will return the tape to its slot once
     the operation has completed.
