Announcing the WinFax PRO 4.0 Network-Enabling Release
 
This message is to announce the release of a new revision of WinFax PRO 4.0
which will allow your stand-alone version of WinFax PRO 4.0 to run as a
client for the new WinFax PRO for Networks (which releases imminently). This
network-enabling revision has a code date of July 28, 1994. If your copy of
WinFax PRO has an earlier date, you will need to update it in order to run
as a client on a WinFax PRO for Networks installation. Please note that you
must have the latest WinFax PRO Server code (version 4.0) to use WinFax PRO
4.0 a network client.
 
To find out the date of your WinFax PRO code, open WinFax PRO and select
Help - About.  Your WinFax PRO code date appears on the fourth line of the
text in the dialog that displays.
 
While the primary thrust of this revision is the enabling of WinFax PRO to
run on a network installation, it does resolve a couple of minor issues,
including the following:
 
1. When exiting Windows without shutting WinFax down ahead of time
some systems experienced problems. These issues are now resolved.
 
2. CAS DCX files are now deleted when events are deleted from the logs.
 
3. During group sends, all cover pages contain accurate recipient
information.
 
4. Occasional unnecessary train-downs during error-correction mode
sends are now eliminated.
 
5. The "ACT! hang problem," in which PIMs can fail to make contact
with WinFax PRO, is now resolved.
 
6. The capability to disable Error Correction Mode fax reception is
now added to the WinFax PRO interface.
