*** Motion VI Package - pcStep Version 2.2 ***

Motion Control Virtual Instruments for use with LabVIEW for Windows 3.0 from National Instruments.

This Motion VI package is the newest version that supports the pcStep board under LabVIEW 3.0. It consists of over 100 Virtual Instruments that implement the entire command set of the stepper control board and provide additional higher level functionality and demos. The Motion VI package is shipped on two 1.44 MB disks.

NOTE: Motion VIs have been compiled under LabVIEW 3.0 You must have version 3.0 or higher to run these VIs. If you have an older version of LabVIEW, please contact National Instruments or nuLogic for information on upgrading to 3.0.

MOTION VI MANUAL

This Read me file supersedes information contained in the Motion VI manual version 3.0. Several of the previous VIs have new features to allow them to be compatible with our new four axis servo board and a new XY demo has been added to enhance xy coordinated programming.

NUCONFIG.VI

A new nuConfig.VI has been added. It is recommended that you place this VI in the the LabVIEW directory. This establishes a configuration file for all nuLogic boards in the host and allows for cross compatibility of VIs across platforms. Run this VI to configure your specific setup before attempting to run any other. There are control boxes for selecting a slot#, a board type, and an address for that particular board. All other VIs will take an input slot# and then look at the nuLogic.cfg file to determine what address is associated with that slot#. The nuLogic.cfg file must be located in the LabVIEW Directory or the other VIs won't be able to find it and thus will be unable to run.

OTHER CHANGES FROM VERSION 1.2
1) New sub-menus ease the ability to configure limit switches, I/O lines and PID values.
2) Many command set VIs were changed to support the additional axis (pcControl-4A). In general, these VIs will also work with 3 Axis pcControl and pcStep boards.
3) A new "Multi-Wait" VI has been added which will wait on one to four axes simultaneously.
4) A new "4A Multi-Axis Start" has been added which takes up to four Axis #'s as inputs.

INSTALLATION

The Motion VIs package is shipped on two 1.44 MB disks. Install the VIs in the LabVIEW vi.lib directory.

The first disk contains one folder (PCSTEP), one Library (Math.llb), and this ReadMe.
