quality mode to correct the problem.

PRINTING DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DRIVERS AND PRINTERS

Drivers

This 3.40 driver contains new, improved color tables to enhance your printed
images. These color tables may cause color changes in images you created to
print under the 2.20 driver. If you prefer the colors from the 2.20 driver,
use the Manual Colors option to select the same settings that you used in the
2.20 driver.

Printers

Newer DeskJet 1200C printers have an enhanced halftoning algorithm built into
the printer. Thus, the halftoning pattern of graphics and images will differ
between some DeskJet 1200C printers.

Look at the Serial Number of your printer on the Self Test:
      If it begins with
USAxxxxxxx, you have an older DeskJet 1200C that uses cluster halftoning.

USBxxxxxxx, you have a newer DeskJet 1200C with the enhanced halftoning.

If you use this 3.40 driver with both USA and USB printers, you will see
differences in halftoning. If you want exactly the same output from both an
older and a newer printer--use the Manual Colors option to choose the Cluster
halftone.
