  * * *  Important Information about Expert ScreenSaver * * *

=======================================================================
Note: when you install Expert ScreenSaver, the program will be placed
in the program group named "Expert Software".
=======================================================================

I. If you are using Norton Desktop 2.x or other non-Windows
alternative desktop software or you are having trouble installing:

Expert ScreenSaver needs your System.ini file to read as
follows:
	 [boot]
	 shell=progman.exe

Expert ScreenSaver will not install properly if 'shell' is set to
anything different. All the files will be installed on the directory
you have specified, however, no program group or icon will be created.
If this is the case, create your own program group and drag the file
EXPTSAVR.EXE into the new program group from the File Manager.
Please consult your Windows or Desktop guide for more information
on how to set up applications to run from program groups.

========================================================================
II. Although you can change most of the settings for Expert ScreenSaver
from the program, you can also make changes to settings from the
Windows/Control Panel/Desktop application.

When active, Expert ScreenSaver controls the screen saver and
wallpaper functions. But when you exit, the program returns your
Windows application to the exact settings that existed before you
started the program. All screen savers or wallpapers that were
active before starting Expert ScreenSaver will then be displayed,
even though you might have disabled them while Expert ScreenSaver
was running.

=========================================================================
III. For best results when using Expert ScreenSaver with other
Screen Savers:

From the Windows/Control Panel/Desktop application:
- Make sure that the selected screen saver is Expert ScreenSaver.
- Set the Wallpaper option to <none>. Expert ScreenSaver will work
  best when it doesn't have to compete with other wallpaper settings
  from this Windows control panel.
- If you have placed the Expert ScreenSaver program icon in the
  start-up Program Group, make sure that this is the only screen saver
  that will be loaded automatically when you start Windows.

=========================================================================
IV. Using Expert ScreenSaver with Other Software:

When using certain software, most notably older versions of paint
and draw programs, (PageMaker 4.0, Corel Draw 3.0, etc.) you may
experience a change in the colors of the image you are working on
when the Wallpaper changes. This occurs when the Windows 256 color
palette changes with the new Wallpaper image and the software
you are using does not recognize the color change. To avoid this,
simply turn off the Wallpaper changing function. Minimize, then
maximize the program you were working on and the image will then
return to its original colors. If this doesn't solve the problem,
turn off and Quit Expert ScreenSaver while you work with your application.
YOUR FILE WILL NOT BE AFFECTED, ONLY THE WAY IT IS DISPLAYED ON THE
SCREEN AT THE TIME.

==========================================================================
IV. Uninstalling (or re-installing Expert ScreenSaver)
To uninstall:
Remove the following files from your Windows directory:
- Exptsavr.scr
- all .ESS (Expert ScreenSaver Picture Collection) files.
- Exptsavr.ini
- All the files contained in the directory where you installed
  Expert ScreenSaver.

To re-install:
we recommend that you remove all of the above files from your Windows
directory when you re-install. Any .ESS file that remain in your
Windows directory will contain information about the picture files
contained in that directory. If you have deleted these picture files,
you will get a "Cannot find Bitmap" error.
