INFORMATION ABOUT
DOCUCOMP'S ATTACH MANAGER

DocuComp's Attach Manager gives you the capability of "attaching"
DocuComp to any one of several Windows word processors. Once
you run the Attach Manager, DocuComp can be executed while
you are running the word processor. This version of DocuComp
can be attached to the following applications:

	WordPerfect 6.0
	WinWord 6.0
	WinWord 2.0
	Ami Pro 3.0

Should you decide that you no longer want to access DocuComp as
an "attachment" to a word processor, follow the steps below to
"detach" DocuComp. The procedures outlined below simply remove the
links (macros) between DocuComp and the word processor. The
stand-alone DocuComp application is not deleted.

Word Perfect 6.0
----------------

Simple Removal:

	1.	Run WordPerfect 6.0
	2.	Select "Macro >" from the Tools menu
		then choose "Edit..."
	3.	Enter the name "DCWSETUP" and
		press "EDIT".
	4.	Word Perfect displays the macro.
Cursor to the line that reads:
"UnInstallMacro = 0". Change the ZERO
		to a ONE ( 1 ).
	5.	Press the "Save and Compile" button.
	6.	Press the "Play" button. Once this button
is pressed, the DocuComp menu item is removed
		from the Tools menu.
	7.	Close WordPerfect.

CAUTION! Perform the steps above ONE TIME ONLY.
If you accidentally play this edited macro a second
time, the menu bar in WordPerfect will be damaged.
WORDPERFECT WILL NOT RUN AFTER THIS OCCURS.

Should you accidentally run the edited macro twice,
you can recover files to restore WordPerfect.
The DocuComp Attach Manager archives files that
WordPerfect alters when the menu bar is
changed. You may copy the archived files on top
of the damaged files to restore WordPerfect to
	its original state.

Run through the following steps if: (1) WordPerfect
cannot load the menu bar and refuses
to run, -OR- (2) WordPerfect GP faults at start up.

	1.	At your DOS prompt, make the Windows
		installation directory the current directory.

	2.	Copy each of the following
		files:

		Copy WPCSET.000 to WPCSET.BIF
		Copy WPSH20.000 to WPSH20.REG
		Copy WPWIN.000 to WPWIN.REG
		Copy WPQC60US.000 to WPQC60US.DAT

If any of these files are missing, just
go on to the next. Different versions
of Word Perfect use different files.

	3.	At the DOS prompt, make the WordPerfect
		directory the current directory.

	4.	Go to the TEMPLATE sub-directory under your,
		WordPerfect directory.

	5.	Copy STANDARD.000 to STANDARD.WPT

Executing the steps above should restore WordPerfect
to the state it was in before you installed DocuComp.
If WordPerfect still does not run, you will have
	to re-install WordPerfect.
