OK, I decided to make this after recieving NUMEROUS questions regarding
tweaking your communications [transfer] speeds, Darklord Style.

1st: RELIABLE TRANSFER PROTOCOLS

My first, and recommended choice, has always been Omen Tech's DSZ.EXE
[FOR BBS's] and GSZ.EXE [For Your Terminal PRG]... Ive consistently
had better transfer rates using this. [Even somewhat better than some of
the "offers" like Zyrion, and Hydra.] The preferred MODE is using MOBYTURBO
with DSZ/GSZ. It was designed with compressed [ie; ZIP] file transfers in
mind. If possible, stay away from the well told myth that Y-Modem-G is faster.
NOT... The transfer rates are the same, and less with MobyTurbo set up RIGHT.
One main difference is Y-Modem-G only uses CRC16, unlike Z's CRC32- Meaning
more reliable ERROR checking and correction.

2nd: A GOOD TERMINAL PROGRAM

Everyone knows QMPRO 1.WHATEVER is the professionals choice. no explanation
needed here.

3rd: A LITTLE TRICK

Unknown/Unpursued is the invaluable X00.EXE [FOSSIL DRIVER] AND it's little
helper, XU.COM... For BBS's, load yer fossil via batch file- as usual. On
the next line in the batch file, add this:

XU FIFO:15

This is dependent on the modem you have, specifically the UART it sports.
Most nowadays are 16550+ equipped, so there shouldnt be much difficulty here.
The documentation with X00 and XU explain this fully. (I hate typing something
documented)

For Your Terminal PRG, do this (Create a batch file and add this to RUN the
Terminal Program)

[Hypothetical]

C:
CD QMPRO
X00 E <-------- "E" disables the obnoxious plug with X00.EXE
XU FIFO:15
QMPRO.EXE
X00 <-------------- Disables the Fossil Driver

One last thing- X00 comes stock as X00.SYS and can be renamed to X00.EXE
[Unless you wish to use the X00.SYS as a device under your config.sys]

I have created help files, as well stock all the needed proggies for
souping up your transfers. If your able to find me, and manage to
get on My Board, SiN o DaMnaioN, youre rocking. If not, as Im known
for saying, "Die of Desire" Hehehehehe.

All References to Any Programs, are made soley for the betterment of BBS'ing
and it's up to you to register the stuff, if needed. If Any of the above-
mentioned authors or companies have a problem with this textflie, Screw Em!

                                                -Darklord

Also, be sure to grab QMPHELP!.ZIP - A File I put together to optimize
QMPRO. Has all the needed protocols and info ya need... Available on any
worthy BBS...
