MODBOOT
=======

The MODBOOT.COM program is used to create a new boot record for a boot disk
used specifically to remove BootChecker v4.00.15 or later from your system.
The modified disk CANNOT be booted from in the normal manner.

This utility is mainly for those who have obtained VirusBuster 4.xx from our
bulletin board service, but can also be used by people who have a boot drive
with a different size to the distribution diskette(s). A MODBOOT boot record
is used on all VirusBuster distribution disks dated 22 January 1993 or later
(these distribution disks can be booted from to accomplish the same function
without requiring the MODBOOT program).

Place a diskette in either A: or B: drive (the same physical size and media
density as required for the boot machine), and simply run the program. You
will be asked if it is to overwrite the boot record in A: or B:. Press the
appropriate letter. The program will then ask what size media the disk is
(1 for 720K, 2 for 1.4M, 3 for 360K, and 4 for 1.2M).   You must select the
correct media density for the boot disk or DOS may not be able to recognize
the diskette. That's all there is to it.
