Installing the Update

The update will NOT affect any of your data files: reports, templates, databases, queries. etc.

* Make sure ACT! is NOT running before installing the update
  or the update will NOT work.
* If you are running ACT! on the network, it is suggested
  that you install the update during scheduled network downtime.

To install the update:
  1. Go to the DOS prompt
  2. Change your drive to the location where the update patch files are located: 
     (C:\patch, c:\, etc...)
  3. Type the following and press the enter key:
     INSTALL [version] [target drive\directory]

[version]= CAN, US
If you are unsure of what country version you have, look at the help... about dialog 
in ACT!.  This dialog will tell you what version you have installed.  

     CAN    Canadian Version
     US     United States Version

[target drive\directory]= The location of the ACTWIN2.EXE on your drive.
     The most likely location is c:\actwin2.

For example: INSTALL US C:\ACTWIN2
