Many PC applications have separate menus for selecting typeface families and
typeface styles. Most applications let you choose among regular, bold, and
italic styles in the Style menu.

If an Adobe Multiple Master font is linked to another by any of these styles,
the style link will be shown in the second column of the table below.

Applying the BOLD style to a multiple master typeface that has a weight axis
will automatically embolden it by an amount specified by the designer of the
typeface. If no weight axis exists, however, the instance will be
artificially emboldened by extending the character shapes. Adobe recommends
using emboldening only when a weight axis has been designed.

If you are reading this document using Windows Notepad, please make sure to
set your left and right margins to zero before printing.
