Hello,
Thanks for replying. I need to find out if Quicken would be suitable
for a lady friend who has no computer experience but runs a very
successful small business. Up to now, she has done all her returns etc
mandraulically. Quicken may be the answer.
Any views would be welcome.

Thanks Patrick B.

Hi

Yes. The single user copy is 65.00 + 4.00 p&p + VAt. Total 81.08.

Any ideas why trying to run the Superdisk pif causes my machine (486,
8Mb RAM, 15Mb swapfile) to crash? Even the three fingered salute
doesn't work. Could the use of Novell Dos 7 be relevant?

Not really.

What happens if you run PCPLUS.COM directly, rather than using the
.PIF?

Steve,

Thank you for the information. Do you know if the p&p cost is more for
overseas (Hong Kong to be specific). BTW, do you know if I'll be able
to get in touch with staff from Atlantic Coast Plc with regards to
buttonFile ordering via CompuServe email?

Regards,
Eva

Eva

You caught me out a little on this one. I am not sure of the shipping
costs to Hong Kong.

I would suggest that post will be a little slow so UPS will probably be
faster. It may be cheaper to order from Buttonware in the USA because
of your geographical position. The ButtonFile package weighs just under
1 kilogram so basically you just need to work out whether UPS rates to
Hong Kong are cheaper from the US or UK. The UK to Hong Kong rate is
30.60 (pounds). Next make a credit card order to either of the
following:

        Atlantic Coast plc
        3a Queen Street
        Seaton
        Devon
        EX12 2NY

        Tel: + 44 297 24088
        Fax: + 44 297 24091

        CIS: 70007,4727

Alternatively if it is cheaper from the USA then you might want to
contact:

        Buttonware Inc.
        PO Box 96058
        Bellevue
        Washington
        WA 98009
        USA

        Tel: + 1 206 865 0773
        Fax: + 1 206 865 0894

        CIS: 73230,1363

Hello
I only seem to have the index for the Superdiscs up to 1991, have any
others been done? If so, which discs are they on?
Regards
Brian.

On the April 1994 (issue 91) SuperDisk we had the buttonFile database
for Windows, with a features index (including the lead SuperDisk
program) for the last three years.

This has since been updated again, and the amended version will appear
on the CD-ROM version of the June edition, out on the 19th of May. You
can access this data from buttonFile or Claris Filemaker Pro (both on
the CD), or any other database program that can read dBASE .DBF files.

You HAVE subscribed to the CD-ROM version, haven't you? <grin>
