I. ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION

- The registration number from your license
agreement should be entered with your name as
prompted during the installation of Capsule.

- When running the Capsule setup program, you
may be prompted to chose a path to .EXE files
for applications that have more than one path
in a program group.

Capsule setup if you install one of the
following applications after you have
installed Capsule:

Excel 2.0
Word 2.0
AmiPro 3.0
1-2-3 4.0
Access 1.0
Access 2.0

To rerun the Capsule setup, double-click on the
Capsule Setup icon in the Capsule program group.
Choose "Refresh" from the list of options when
prompted.

II. INFORMATION ABOUT BUILDING CAPSULES

- When making new Capsules, it is always a
good practice to name and save your Capsule
early in the building process, and continue to
save your work often.

- Linked files will not work correctly when
attached to Write File, Printer, or Mail (as
an Attachment) icons. To send data from a
linked file to one of these icons, an un-
linked icon of the same type should be
connected between the linked icon and these
icons.

- When connecting icons to Write File,
Printer, or Mail (as an Attachment) icons,
you can only send "All Data" to these icons.

- When connecting regions from a Branch icon
to Write File, Printer, or Mail (as an
Attachment) icons, only regions associated
with rules that use "All Data" as sources
will successfully connect to these icons.

- Two or more icons of the same type should
not be connected to the same Printer or Write
File icon. If you need to connect more than
one icon of the same type to a Printer or
Write File icon, connect it to another copy
of the Printer or Write File icon.

- When passing large amounts of data through
the Clean or Join icons, it is recommended
that the "Save Output" option should be
switched "off".

- A message which states "Failed to Notify
Library" may appear in several situations,
such as when copying icons from the Capsule
palette. If this occurs, complete the
copying process and save the Capsule that
you are working on. You may need to restart
your Windows system.

- You should not nest Capsules more than
three levels deep using the Make Nested Capsule
feature. If you need to create applications
with Nested Capsules that are more than
three levels deep, you should drag a new
Nested Capsule icon from the Main palette.

- Nested Capsules can not be copied to the
Clipboard and then pasted inside of another
OLE 2.0 container application. To embed a
Capsule into another OLE 2.0 container, you
must use the 'Insert Object' menu item of
that application.

- You can not undo the deletion of icons in
the Main or Custom palettes. To reverse the
deletion of icons in the palettes, you should
select the palette window and use Insert
Object from the Edit menu.

- Variables can not be renamed. To change the
name of a variable, you should delete the
existing variable and add a new variable.
Connections to the new variable will need to
be made.

- Occasionally, errors may occur when making
valid connections between icons. If this
happens, you should attempt to make the
connection several more times. Often, this
problem will not occur again.

- Linked 1-2-3 worksheets and AmiPro documents
will not support All Data connections unless
they were initially created in the Capsule.
To transfer data from these linked icons, you
must create either ranges (for 1-2-3) or
bookmarks (for AmiPro) and define regions for
them.

- Occasionally, when starting up Capsule,
Windows will return a message "Cannot start
more than one copy of the specified program".
To correct this, you must exit and restart
Windows.

- You must set up a default Windows printer if
you wish to use the Printer icon and the Print
or Print Preview menu items.

III. INFORMATION ABOUT RUNNING CAPSULES

- Icons should not be opened, and the Capsule
should never be modified while Capsule is
running. To determine whether the Capsule has
completed running, check the stoplight on the
toolbar (it should be green), look at the
status bar at the bottom of the Capsule window
(it should say "Ready"), or, look at the
cursor (it should be an arrow).

- When running Capsules that include Excel,
Word, AmiPro, or 1-2-3, sometimes these
applications will either:

remain open, with or without the embedded
document open. These applications should be
closed AFTER the Capsule has completed,

or

remain minimized on the Windows desktop.
These icons should be closed before opening
the icons inside of the Capsule.

- Running Capsule during low memory situations
in Windows may cause certain problems may that
manifest themselves as: 1) operations that may
fail without comment; 2) operations that may
result in a 'Low on memory' message from
either Capsule or Windows; 3) operations which
may fail with the message "Internal
Application Error". If you encounter any
problems of this type, save the Capsule that
you are working on, and exit and restart
Windows.

- If a Capsule fails in any significant
manner, such as closing and exiting the
Capsule window without warning, you should
always exit and restart Windows before
proceeding.

- Scheduler will not run Capsules that are
scheduled to be executed if the machine is not
left with Windows running. When scheduling
Capsules, always leave the machine running
Windows and the Capsule Scheduler minimized
on the desktop.

IV. MORE ABOUT WORKING WITH THE SUITES

WORKING WITH AMIPRO 3.0
-When entering data directly into an AmiPro
document inside of a Capsule, the "Show Power
Fields" option of AmiPro should be used to
see the "All Data" bookmarks inside of the
document. When typing into an AmiPro document,
input should be put into the "All Data"
bookmark to pass All Data from the AmiPro icon.

- If the entire contents of an AmiPro document
are deleted, the "All Data" bookmark may also
be deleted. If All Data in the AmiPro icon is
the source of an arrow connection, data will
not be passed. Always set the AmiPro View to
"Show Power Fields", and delete the contents
between the bookmark brackets. If the
All Data bookmark is deleted, create a new
bookmark with the name "AllData", and insert
your text within the bookmark brackets.

- If an AmiPro 3.0 icon is used as a data source
connected to another icon, and does not
contain data, a message which reads "Unable to
get data" will appear. To correct this,
resolve why the AmiPro 3.0 icon does not
contain data.

WORKING WITH WORD 2.0
- Word 2.0 can not be used with the Printer,
Write File, or Mail (as an Attachment) icons.

- When dragging a Word 2.0 file from File
Manager into a Capsule, a Windows "Packager"
icon may appear instead of the valid Word 2.0
icon picture. This icon will not be usable.
To insert a Word 2.0 file into a Capsule,
use Insert Object from the Edit menu.

- If a Word 2.0 icon is used as a data source
connected to another icon, and does not
contain data, a message which reads "Unable to
get data" will appear. To correct this,
resolve why the Word 2.0 icon does not
contain data.

WORKING WITH 1-2-3 4.0
- On occasion, 1-2-3 worksheets will appear
"transparent" after running a Capsule. To
correct this, close the 1-2-3 window and
reopen the application. To prevent this
problem, always close minimized 1-2-3 icons
that may have been left after running a
Capsule before opening 1-2-3 icons inside of
a Capsule.

WORKING WITH EXCEL 4.0
- When running an linked Excel worksheet
inside of a Nested Capsule, the Excel icon may
appear shaded (as if it were open) when you
open the Nested Capsule. To change this
condition, you may open and then close the
Excel icon.
