                       GREETINGS FOR WINDOWS

                            README FILE

This file contains information not found in the Greetings for
     Windows User's Guide:

     COMPUTER AND PRINTER MEMORY

The operation of this program will be affected by the amount of
RAM memory available to Windows. If graphics are slow to appear
on the screen, it is probably because the entire graphic is too
large to fit in RAM at one time. In such a case, Windows may
swap some of the information in memory to your hard disk as the
image is being drawn. This will slow the graphics drawing
     process considerably.

If your machine does not have enough memory to display a graphic
image on the screen, a solid black rectangle may appear to
indicate the size and position of the image. The box may be
moved and sized, and double-clicking on the rectangle will
produce the dialog box for the image. In most cases, the image
     will print normally.

If the printed output from Greetings is not what you expect,
you may have insufficient printer memory to produce the entire
image. Opening the Print Options dialog box and reducing the
printer resolution will usually solve this problem.
