Journalist for PRODIGY version 1.1 has been installed.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THESE VERY IMPORTANT RELEASE
NOTES!

Thank you for purchasing Journalist! Using the "Journalist
Assistant," you can create your first newspaper in minutes.
Simply follow the prompts as they appear on the screen after
you launch Journalist.

What's new in Version 1.1? News Photos! You can now place
news photos from the PRODIGY(R) Service in your personalized
newspaper. Choose the camera icon from the "News and
Weather" tool bar to place photo frames.

Journalist is expanding to bring you more content and more
features. To find out if you are running the latest version
of Journalist, choose "Update Journalist" from the "Options"
menu within Journalist.

If you use Journalist for tracking stocks and maintaining
historical stock data, it is a good idea to back up your
stock database on a regular basis. The stock database is
stored as two files in the Journalist installation
directory: JSTKDB.DBF and JSTKDB.MDX.

There is a known problem with a Windows application named
YourWay. YourWay includes a "quickmenu" feature which
interferes with Journalist. If you are running YourWay,
disable the quickmenu feature before launching Journalist.

Journalist requires that a standard STACKS setting of 9,256
be in your CONFIG.SYS file. Some older memory managers and
disk compression programs reset this value to 0. If you
experience stack-related problems when using Journalist,
check your CONFIG.SYS and make sure it contains the line:

     STACKS=9,256

You will need to re-boot your system after changing
CONFIG.SYS.

Journalist includes a special feature which enables you to
automatically download the latest Journalist enhancements
through your PRODIGY membership. Choose "Update Journalist"
from the Options menu to check for available enhancements.

In addition to the Journalist Assistant, Journalist comes
with several sample pages to help you get started. These
documents are stored in the 'samples' directory under the
directory into which you installed Journalist. Both color
and black & white versions are supplied for news, weather,
sports, finance, entertainment, and high-tech page samples.

Although it is not mentioned in the printed documentation,
the Company News frame supports all the industry codes that
PRODIGY members are familiar with under Quote Track. For a
list of these industry codes, consult the Journalist help
file and search for the topic "Industry Codes."
