

ABOUT THE TMC-1790/TMC-1795 INSTALLATION

Product Description

The TMC-1790/TMC-1795 has been designed to provide easy "Plug and Play"
installation.

The TMC-1790/TMC-1795 supports all SCSI disk drives that conform to the
ANSI standard "Common Command Set". The TMC-1790/TMC-1795 ROM BIOS is 
designed to identify and properly support the type of SCSI disk 
drive it is installed with. The TMC-1790/TMC-1795 will work with all 
computers that conform to the EISA (Extended Industry Standard
Architecture) Specifications.

Physical Installation
---------------------

Refer to your Future Domain TMC-1790/TMC-1795 User's Guide on installing 
the TMC-1790/TMC-1795 into your EISA computer.

System Configuration
--------------------

Boot up the system using the "EISA Configuration Utility" that came 
with your EISA computer.  Follow the instructions in your "EISA
Configuration Utility" to make a backup copy of the utility diskette. 

Next, copy the !FDC000.CFG file from the distribution diskette that
came with your Future Domain Kit. This file allows proper configuration 
of the TMC-1790/TMC-1795 SCSI controller into your EISA computer.

Once completed, boot from the backup copy of "EISA Configuration
Utility". Follow the steps in the configuration utility to add and
configure the TMC-1790/TMC-1795 controller. There are default values
provided with the !FDC000.CFG file but you may vary these values 
to fit your own needs.
