To use The American Heritage Dictionary with all other Windows applications,
including WordStar for Windows, Write, Excel, PageMaker, PowerPoint, and
virtually EVERY Windows application, just do the following:

1. Double-click the word you want to look up.

2. Use the Edit / Copy command to copy the word to the Clipboard.

3. Bring up The American Heritage Dictionary from the System menu
by clicking the upper left hand corner box or pressing
    Alt-spacebar. Then choose American Heritage.

If you don't see the American Heritage command on the System menu,
then find the icon on your desktop and double-click it.

4. Look for the word that gives you the best meaning. If you want
to replace the original word in your document, click the Copy or
Replace button. This will put the last looked-up word on the
Clipboard. The Dictionary will minimize itself and go away.

5. In your application, choose Edit / Paste. This will replace the
original word with the new one.
