CorelDraw Updated Filters/Files

For DRAW Ver 3.0 REV B only !!!

Each of the following sub-directories contain updated files and text files
explaining the installation of each. Please follow the instructions
carefully and verify that the filter has been installed correctly as per
the text files. Please take the time to install all the new files so that if
you need to call technical support we will know what versions of the filters
you have.

Directory of B:\

CDRFONT <DIR>

TARGA <DIR>

WPG <DIR>

All the files in the directories, with the exception of the chart directory, are
self-extracting archives. You may wish to create a temporary directory on your
hard drive to perform the unarchiving so as to avoid overwriting your current
files.

To extract the desired files, copy the .exe file to your hard drive.
Type the FILENAME (without the extension) at the DOS prompt and all the
files contained within the archive will be made available. You may want to
create a sub-directory for each of the seperate fixes as we have on the floppy.

Please read any associated .TXT files before continuing. It is always a good
idea to have backups of any file you plan to replace. Renaming the file to
*.old or *.org may be a good safety measure .

If you find that a file on this disk matches a file installed on your system,
then you have the most recent version. The files on this disk are considered
the most recent.

Below is a description of each of the fixes as they are described in their
respective text files.

CDRFONT <DIR>

1- Divide By Zero errors, caused by attempts to rasterize very small text
entries for use in the image header, are eliminated.

2- Incorrect font-mapping, caused by the use of the space character as a
delimiter, should not occur. Font names, in the [CorelDrw20FontMap],
may contain spaces. The calibration values, however, MUST all be present,
and MUST be separated by commas.

CHART <DIR>

This directory contains up to date text files explaining certain Chart features.

DRAW <DIR>

When outputting to PostScript devices from CorelDRAW! 3.0 Rev A and B,
there is a problem with text shifting slightly and/or to the bottom
of the page. This is most noticeable with small point size text centered
within other objects (squares, circles, lines, etc.).

EXPFONTS <DIR>

These updated filters will allow for the modification of fonts supplied
by other vendors. To install them, make backups of the files with
the same names in the CORELDRW\FILTERS directory and then copy these .DLL
files to that location.

HPGL <DIR>

The HPGL Export filter has been enhanced to export with double the curve
resolution as before, and quadruple if the High Resolution is selected.
The HPGL Export file structure has been modified to adhere to the HPGL
standard to increase the compatibility with other applications and devices.
The HPGL Import was modified to recognize certain objects as closed objects,
allowing them to be filled.
The High Resolution switch has no function on import.

IMPDXFB3 <DIR>

The DXF Import filter has been improved to accept a wider range of DXF file
formats.

IMPPCX <DIR>

Corrects the problem with the aspect ratio distortion of your imported .PCX
files.

MOSAIC <DIR>

Updated .DLL's for Mosaic Kodak Photo CD Compatability ver 1.3

PROLOG <DIR>

The changes made to Prolog.cmp will enable you to print the indirect characters
that use accents such as Grave, Ring, and Caron. Previously, on some
PostScript devices, these characters would have caused an error (Invalid Font).

Also, before defining the OverPrint function, a check is made to determine
whether a similar function has previously been enabled. This will allow for
separation of CorelDRAW! EPS files by such packages as Aldus Preprint and
Ventura Separator.

TARGA <DIR>

The TARGA Import filter has been modified to handle large .TGA files that were
unable to be read in the previous version of the filter.

TIFF <DIR>

The TIFF Export filter has been modified so that the User can select to export
to TIFF V4.2 for those programs unable to accept TIFF V 5.0. This also affects
the image header on .EPS files exported from CorelDRAW.

WPG <DIR>

This version of the filter remedies problems of exporting files that contain
ellpises or circles that had been node edited (i.e. arcs and wedges) for use
in WP for DOS.
