Using the Marstek Scanner under Windows 3.0 in 386 enhanced mode
----------------------------------------------------------------

  To use the Logitech ScanMan Scanner with Image-In in 386
  enhanced mode, you must add the following line in the
  SYSTEM.INI in the [386Enh] section:

  DMABufferSize=64

Compatibility problems between Image-In and some VGA cards
----------------------------------------------------------

If you have a problem starting Image-In on your system (altered screen
display or system hangs) and if you have a VGA card, put the following
lines in your WIN.INI file:

   [Image-In]
   vga=1

If the [Image-In] header already exists in your WIN.INI file, just add
the line:

   vga=1

Installing Windows/286 2.xx for gray-scale image display
--------------------------------------------------------

A gray-scale mode VGA display driver is supplied on this diskette.
To install Windows with this driver:

  o Start the Windows Setup program.

  o In the display selection menu, choose 'Others...'

  o  Insert the Image-Paint diskette.

  o Select 'VGA in gray scale mode'.

  o Continue the standard Windows installation.

This does not work for Windows/386

Image-In temporary files
------------------------

Image-In creates a temporary file when it loads or scans an image.
This file can be as large as 1 MegaByte for a 300 dpi full-page
image. This file is created in the same drive/directory as the
other Windows temporary files. If there is not enough disk space
for the temporary file, you can select another drive by setting
the TEMP environment variable. To do this, put a line in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file as follows:

   SET TEMP=d:\pathname
