Ladies and gentlemen(and programmers) introducing
SBM Productions(SPMake 13) and El Cheapo studios first game:

Spy For Hire Training Missions

This game consists of 14 levels. Most of you probably haven't a clue
what the gameplay is going to be like. Have you ever played Metal Gear 
Solid by Konami? This is a tribute to the old Nintendo series. You go around through the 14 levels trying to reach a flag, evading the guards throughout the time. You have 20.5 seconds to complete each level(Keep in mind that this release only contains training). The game is over once you are seen, and you will be met with an unsightly game over screen. Anyway for those of us who bothered reading till here, this is what it features and doesn't:

Features:
320x200 resolution
256 colors
Sound Blaster sound(unfrequent)
Lighting effects for night 
Fog effects for foggy levels
Other stuff I couldn't document

Non features:
Texture-mapped polygonal walls
Monkeys 
A good soundtrack
Voices for guards
Scrolling
Other stuff I couldn't document

5 features and 5 non-features. Well balanced.

Although there isn't a soundtrack, you can play CD-Music while playing.

More about the game. It is viewed top-down so you can see the guards bald heads. There are foggy levels that are almost impossible to see through and dark levels where you grope around smashing into walls till you find your way. The green dots coming out of the guards are their fields of vision(FOV). Before I forget here is the controls:

Arrow keys : Move your character 
W          : Punch
A          : Distract nearby guards
Esc key    : Exit the game in level select menu, pause game in-game (exit button on in-game menu non-functional)

That's it. Remember that Shashi the invisible madman says you can press multiple keys at once(punch and run at the same time)

This game requires EMS to be running so weep and cry if your computer doesn't. Also the computer autodetects the Sound blaster info but if you recieve an error regarding this go to your autoexec.bat 
and type this:

SET BLASTER=Axxx Ib Dr
xxx is the base address
b is the IRQ 
r is the DMA

Note that this game won't run without a sound blaster. If you do it will fob you with excuses for not running correctly and exit. 

Now go! The Queen calls for your duties as a TIP(tactical infiltration personnel) to be fulfilled.

The only assembly ever used in this game is the keyboard handler. Everything else is pure QB!
