 5 Skittles 
-------------

   One plays using the cue on a table
   without holes, with five skittles, a
   red ball (spot) and a ball for each
   player (white and yellow).
   The object of the game is to hit the
   opponent ball with one's ball. For
   gaining points one has to knock down
   skittles using the spot or the
   opponent ball, or hit the spot with
   either of the balls.
   If one's ball knocks down some
   skittles or if the opponent ball has
   not been hit first all the points go
   to the opponent player. If the
   opponent ball has not been hit, the
   other player has a ball in hand, so
   he can move his own ball wherever he
   wants, but only in the half table
   opposite to the ball to hit.

   Scores:
    External skittles         :  2
    Central skittle           :  4
    Central skittle only      : 10
    Spot hit with own ball    :  4
    Spot hit with opp. ball   :  3
    Ball not hit              :  2

  Goriziana
-------------

   This game is quite similar to the
   previous "5 Skittles", but in this
   case there are 9 skittles and the
   scores are different. Moreover if the
   ball hits a bumper before hitting the
   opponent ball, the score is doubled.

   Scores:
    External skittles         :  2
    Internal skittles         :  8
    Central skittle           : 10
    Central skittle only      : 30
    Spot hit                  :  6
    Ball not hit              :  2
    Ball hit after bumper     : x2

  Boccette
-------------

   One plays without cue on a table with
   six holes, with five skittles, with a
   smaller spot and four balls for each
   player. At the beginning of the game
   a player throws the spot which must
   stop over the half table, else the
   shot must be repeated. The object is
   put one's ball as near the spot as
   possible. Shots are always effected
   from the same side of the table, and
   to be valid, the ball must get over
   the half table without hitting
   bumpers, other balls or the skittles.
   If this happens the ball is taken
   from the table and all the others are
   put in the previous positions.
   Besides the opponent player gains two
   points. At every turn the player that
   has to shoot, is who has not the ball
   nearest the spot. For gaining points
   one has to knock down skittles with
   the spot or the opponent balls, or
   put an opponent ball in a hole. If
   one of one's balls knock down some
   skittles or it goes in a hole, the
   points go to the opponent player.
   At the end of the shots, every ball
   nearest the spot counts some points.
   In bumper shots, skittles points are
   doubled.

  Carom
-------------

   This game is played on a table with
   no holes and no skittles. There are
   three balls, two (white and yellow)
   are owned by the players, and the
   other (red) is the spot.
   The object of the game is to realize
   as many carom as possible, that is to
   hit the other two balls with the cue
   ball. A player continues to shot
   until he succeds hitting the balls.

   Scores:
    2 Balls hit               :  1

  3 Balls
-------------

   This game is very similar to Carom
   but here is a total of four balls.
   Every player uses the white ball and
   has to hit the other balls. If the
   shot is a bumper shot the points are
   doubled.

   Scores:
    2 Balls hit               :  1
    3 Balls hit               : 10
    Ball hit after bumper     : x2

 Goriziana (Bar version)
-------------------------

   One plays without cue on a table
   without holes, with nine skittles,
   with a smaller spot, with a yellow
   ball and with a ball for each player.
   The object is to hit the yellow ball
   with one's ball. Shots are effected
   from the side of the table where
   there is not the yellow ball, and to
   be valid, the ball must get over the
   half table without hitting bumpers,
   other balls or the skittles. If this
   happens all the other balls are put
   in the previous positions. Besides
   the opponent gains two points. For
   gaining points one has to knock down
   skittles with the spot or the yellow
   ball, or hit the spot with either of
   the balls. If one's ball knocks down
   some skittles or if the yellow ball
   has not been hit first the points are
   subtracted. If yellow ball has been
   hit with a bumper shot points are
   doubled.

   Scores:
    External skittles         :  2
    Internal skittles         :  8
    Central skittle           : 10
    Central skittle only      : 30
    Spot hit                  :  6
    Ball not hit              :  2
