ATTACK OF THE BLOBETEERS
------------------------
Readme!
-------
Alright, folks, here it is, the official public release of my game.
Thanks for looking at it. It's really spiffy methinks.

This is release number ONE, that means that from here it only gets better.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
---------------------

At the moment there are no bugs that I know of. There are, however, THOUSANDS
of unimplemented features that we want to get to. Right now if you fall off
the map nothing happens. Joe just walks around the bottom of the map. There
are other things like this. If you die nothing happens. You can just walk
around with negatuve health. THIS IS NOT A BUG, it's just something that
doesn't happen yet.

It will be dealt with VERY soon. :)

WHAT TO DO WITH THE DEMO
------------------------

Well, first you unzip it to its own directory. It's 1,163,322 bytes unzipped
(That's about 1.1 megs) and 149,452 bytes (about 150k) zipped.

Share it with your friends. Tell them there are new versions due out soon.

The program you run is BLOBS.EXE. When you run it it pops up with all sorts
of information about what it's doing to load, and after a few seconds it will
either start the game or dump you at the command prompt.

If it starts the game, use the mouse & keyboard arrow keys to move Joe
around. Use the left mouse button to jump. Sometimes the right mouse button
will make joe's serpent (It's a serpent, NOT A SPOON) glow blue but it's not
reliable. :(

The spacebar also does some interesting things. While you are atop the
toilet, pushing the spacebar will cause the toilet to explode. The same thing
applies to the lawnmower in the south part of the map. If you stand to the
south of the bookcase in the west part of the map, and push space, the lights
and textures will change. If you push spacebar in the eastern-most part of
the map, next to the volcano, it will explode a little bit.

Fun, huh?

Also keep an eye on the bottom of the screen. There, is displayed in plain
text, the current framerate and player's health. Yes, I know, the health can
be negative and Joe won't die... GET OVER IT. And if you make it go as low as
about -32768 it will crash with an overflow.. but by that time you've been in
the lava too long so GET OVER IT!!!!

When you are through you can push ESC to exit.

TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------

OUT OF STRING SPACE IN MODULE bla bla bla....

Try starting it with the command line parameter "nosound" like this:
blobs nosound

Do not include a hyphen in the parameter! IT WILL NOT WORK!

If that doesn't work you just have a crappy conventional memory system.
Wait for the next version, we may do something about it.

FIND A BUG?
-----------

Email me at nielsonkid@uswest.net and tell me all about it. Please also tell
me what kind of system you have and what kind of framerates you observed. (if
it works at all, that is.)

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME IF YOU'RE OUT OF MEMORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's your own fault.
