SBS2GIF file converter
Lost socK software

The SBS file format is the standard QB BSAVE file, with one exception-the traling 768 bytes contain an 8-bit palette. SBS2GIF converts these files to a GIF87a non-interlaced file. SBS files are the format of screenshots in WOS, as well as several other of LSS' projects. SBS2GIF can be used through DOS or Windows. To use in DOS, place SBS2GIF.EXE in your path, and use this syntax:

SBS2GIF filename (.ext)

whereas filename is the name of the SBS file, and .ext is the extension .SBS. The extension is not needed.

To use SBS2GIF through Windows, associate files with an extension of SBS with the file SBS2GIF.EXE. Any file with an SBS extension will be converted to a GIF file.

Note that this tool is a prototype only, and there is no data checking. If the file with the SBS extension is not an SBS graphic file, the program will hard-crash.
