 About

Welcome to UFO Invasion, this is a fast paced action shoot-em-up made by
Antony Chesworth. This game is SHAREWARE so you are allowed to copy it
and give it to friends and other computer users but if you enjoy playing
it or find it of some use you should REGISTER it for only 5.00 (UK).
For information about registering the game visit the UFO Invasion Web
   Site at: Http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/1263/ufogame.htm
   or E-Mail us at: Megablast@geocities.com.

 Story

There is`nt much a story for this game but here goes...

"It was 2:00pm when SETI reported an invading collection of Aliens
entering the Solar System, you as a space fighter pilot are called
upon to defend the Earth from the invading Aliens.

You get into your CHZ-250 fighter ship and set off to destroy the
      invading force. "

Your weapons system is using a prototype hologram system which means
that all missiles are created when needed and are totally computer
generated which means that you have unlimited ammo. Your on-board computer
can only operate one missile at a time though (so you can only have
one missile on screen at any one time).

 Program Information

The game has been programmed from scratch by Antony Chesworth in C using
DJGPP with the Allegro Graphics Libary, most of the sprites used in the
game have come from Sprite Lib, which is a collection of images you are
allowed to use in your own programs for FREE, for more information visit
the Sprite Lib web site at http://www.walrus.com/~ari/spritlib.htm.

The only problems with SpritLib are that you are told to put your serial
number on all products that use SpriteLib, but it doesn`t tell you where
you have to put the serial number, just to prove that I am registered
my serial number is: 195.232.18.6-865075592 (DOS). I personally think the
serial number part spoils the entire SpriteLib package because if
SpriteLib is FREE you should be able to use it without any legal problems,
   don`t you think?

The sound effects have come mainly off the internet and took from some of
the example programs that come with DJGPP, I believe you are
allowed to use parts of example programs arn`t you? Well if your not
please tell me and I will change them. The background music has also
come off the internet I`m not sure what the music is from but I believe
it to be PD and to be allowed on my game, if you know different please
   tell me.

 Game Play

The game plays very similar to space invaders except you can move up,
down, left and right and the baddies all follow you at different speeds,
the Green ones for example are slow while the Red ones are very fast.
The game plays quite fast in that an average player can normally get to
stage 15-20 but after intensive play testing we think we have the game
speed just right, but if you disagree let us know.
