Introduction
============

  hello all you DessySoft fan's out there!! (yeah like there really is one!)

  my latest release Qpacman, made completely in Qbasic and compiled with
  Quick Basic 4.5 on 21st November 1997! This just proves that you can
  make a playable game in Qbasic!! haha

  make sure you have a look around for Freakazoids, a cool game made with
  QuickBasic 4.5 that features half decent graphics?!? well almost..

  also, make sure you leave any comments or suggestions for games at either
  freds bbs, addressed to Ian Murnane, or better yet Email me at
  deseloo@hotmail.com.. I'm always looking for anyone that can help with
  ideas or graphics too!

Instructions
============

  Game play is very simple, just go around collecting the diamonds, staying
  away from the bad guys. up the top middle you will see a diamond counter,
  that is how many diamonds you have to collect. once the counter reaches
  zero, jump into a transporter diamond and go to the next level. there are
  10 levels. in level 10 your diamond counter starts at zero and counts up
  how many diamonds you are carrying, pressing space-bar will shoot a diamond
  about 4 spaces in the direction you are standing (you have to get pretty
  close to the monsters to kill them!)

Hints
=====

  I'm not going to tell you too much, its a very simple game after all!!
  the place you'll get stuck the most is in level 10, if you are having
  trouble killing the monsters, or you keep running into them when you
  fire? the best thing to do is just to wait somewhere against a wall,
  facing the monster, when he comes near fire!

  oh another thing, if you ever run out of diamonds to collect, hit escape
  and you'll lose that life but start on a new fresh screen

Known Bugs
==========

  monsters sometimes get stuck in the middle box (hover over the entrance
  to tempt them to come out)

  diamond count sometimes stays on 1, in this case just get another diamond
  and go through a transporter to exit the level

  not all sound blasters and configurations may work, if it doesn't just use
  the pc-speaker, you won't be missing much anyway

  DO NOT attempt to run this game through win95 unless your used to it
  crashing!!  exit to dos first!
