STORMFIGHTER is present as  fighting  game.  Here  it  is  not
necessary  too much "think" over the map of battle operations.
Much better on full speed attack the ground and air  opponent,
even  if  they  surpasses  by  number.  The  determinative  is
possession by flight experience.  Of course,  some time you'll
need to think how is better to attack the targets  and  to use
your own strategy and tactic of the battle...

The airplane,  which present in the game,  is a fantasy flight
machine,  which can fly with very high speed and to fly up and
to sit almost vertically.  Among opponets there are the rather
strange armoured machines - ELEFANKS,  which till now were not
on arms any of armies of the world.

When you  are  in  "air"  at  the beginning of mission,  it is
necessary at once to look at the  map  of  battle  operations,
which is in the left part of the flying panel.  On the map are
shown enemy's and friendly objects,  and zone  of  visibility.
The scale of the map varies with the key "Z". Depending on the
battle experience and computer speed  the  player  can  change
parameters  of objects imaging and flight control.  It is done
by pressing of number keys on the main keyboard.  In execution
time  of  mission the help is caused by the key "H" (There you
receive the necessary information how to use keys "F1 -  "F10"
and other additional keys.):

1 CL - CLOUDS          - imaging of clouds
2 HR - HORIZONT        - imaging of horizon
3 DT - DETAIL LEVEL    - grain size
4 GN - GROUND          - sort of the ground surface
5 EL - EASY LANDINGS   - safe landing.
6 FC - FLYING CONTROL  - system of the flight safety
7 SL - SLOW TIMING     - slow current of time
8 FX - SOUND EFFECTS   - set-up    the   ratio  of  sound  and
                         background music
9 TR - TRAINING        - for "teapots"
0 JS - JOYSTICK        - inclusion  of  the  joystick  and its
                         set-up with response

To control the flight machine is possible by arrow keys, Mouse
or  Joystick  (Deliver everything of the joystick in a central
position and do not touch it before you start in  mission,  as
its  initialization  each time occurs automatically,  when you
appear in the cockpit of pilot. The Mouse activted by pressing
two buttons at once ). The key "Ctrl" accelerates turns in all
planes.  The keys '+' and '-'  change  speed  of  flight.  The
flight  dynamics  of  a flight machine has the specifity.  The
takeoff is made from a place,  and landing  vertical  or  with
small horizontal speed. At landing a roll and pitch should not
be exceed then 20-25 degrees.  At the live  system  of  safety
flight  at  small  altitude  (30-100  m)  on  large  speeds is
possible.  The maximum speed of flight  of  an  intact  flight
machine  reaches  3000 km/h.  If the airplane is damaged,  the
maximum speed decreases.  When the size of damages reaches the
critical value the flight machine drops and blows up. After it
flight with the mode of "observer" is possible,  which can not
interfere in further events. In center of the flying panel the
information on friendly objects  and  target  destination  for
attack  is  displayed.  For each objective the turn angle from
current course up to an output on the objective is underlined.
Over  the  central display there is the string of the messages
of the onboard computer.  The selected objective is  from  the
right shown. The indicator of damages (green colour) is to the
left of the central display on the panel,  and fuel - from the
right (dark blue colour). There are the indicators, indicating
an amount enemy's and friendly objects on the field of battle,
in the left part - the opponent,  in the right part - friendly
objects.

The flight  machine  has  three  sorts  of  arms  - high power
airgun, rockets with target autodetection, and powerful bombs.
The  shooting by rockets is made automatically on the selected
objective.  The choice of the objective occurs by keys "Enter"
and "E",  and cancellation - at absence of the objective or by
the key "BACKSPACE".  The start reorientation of rockets to be
made  by  the keys "W" or "L".  The objective,  closest to the
cross-hair marker,  is selected.  It is  marked  by  a  square
marker. Dynamic illumination the green dagger of the objective
- candidate is also made,  allows that quickly to  distinguish
another's  from  and  attack  of  the  opponent.  Heavy rocket
installations and the buildings by the given  system  are  not
marked.  The gun shoots at pressing of the 'SPACE' button, the
striking ability of the shell depends of accuracy of  hit.  At
flight on large speed and shooting on the ground objectives an
apparent drift of shells is observed, however they fly in that
point,  where the gun at the moment of the shot was aimed.  At
shooting on flying objectives anticipation is  necessary.  the
Bombs are the rather dangerous weapon,  dumping their keys "A"
or "B", try do not to get our objects. When you has dumped the
bomb,  at  the beginning the direction of flight and the speed
of the bomb is similar with the speed and  direction  of  your
airplane.  The objects,  moving by the ground,  by the nearest
consideration can appear by tanks with laser guns,  automotive
rocket  installations  or  Heavy  Panzer  Truck.  But  special
troubles bring ELEFANKS.  These walking armoured monsters have
exclusive  resistance  against  all  sorts  of  the weapon and
shattering  firing  power.  At  especially  important  enemy's
objects will trap the player Heavy Rocket Installations, which
shoot by rockets with very high speed of  flight.  But  it  is
necessary  to  remember,  that  radius  of  the defeat of such
installation nevertheless less zone of visibility. In the game
it  is  possible  to  meet  the rather peculiar type of ground
objects,  it is tank and air plants (factories).  They seem on
the  first  sight  quite  harmless,  but,  flying near to such
object,  the pilot with surprise notices,  that number of  its
opponents  begins to grow...  In this connection the factories
need to  be  destroyed  at  once,  or  do  not  fly  in  their
vicinities  in  the  first time of battle.  If the airplane is
damaged but not destroyed,  rockets or fuel,  necessary repair
were  completed,  the  refuelling  and  addition  complete  of
rokets,  cannons can be  loaded  on  friendly  air  plants  or
depots.  For  this  purpose  it  is necessary to land in close
proximity from such object.  Thus there will be the  wonderful
recovery  of the airplane and addition of its equipment,  will
be that appreciably on indicators.  It is  very  dangerous  to
result  on  a  tail  in  the  repair  bases  aircrafts  of the
opponent. They will destroy the defenceless object in read out
seconds  and  to repair our airplane will be no chance.  Using
possibility of repair of  the  airplane,  represented  by  the
program,  one  mission  is  possible to divide on a little bit
battle embarkations.  Most important - do not accept too large
damages.  The task of mission in most cases is the destruction
the military engineering of the opponent,  but sometimes it is
necessary  to  fly  for  help  on  adjacent  air station or to
connect aircraft of the opponent by the battle and to withdraw
it from the protected object.



We guarantee you, that not each player, considering himself as
ACE,  will  reach  up  to  END-VICTORY,  by  executing  all 40
missions of the game!




At advance  completion  of  the  game,  if you was not able to
finish (not enough time) to reach the end of mission  and  you
have  pressed  <  ESC >,  program will offer  to  save current
state of the game.  By this possibility,  you can again  begin
this  mission  from the moment of interruption of the game per
the previous time.




 ADVICES, ASSISTING TO WIN:

The fact  is,  that any enemy's battle object begins to attack
only then,  when he are in the field of sight  of  the  pilot.
This  property  allows  is successfully conduct the fight with
the numerous opponent. It is necessary to fly  nearer on large
speed  to the enemy's group and to withdraw for self one - two
airplanes. After it,  is  possible quietly to be quit of  them
in  the  safe  place  and  in  case  of necessity to repair on
friendly base.  The same tactics can be used for the dangerous
ground  objectives,  which are Heavy Rocket Installations.  By
flying up on very low speed to  the  protected  object  it  is
possible  to stay and to destroy from a gun the nearest rocket
installation,  not falling in radius of a defeat. But be close
- one careless motion and the fixed airplane will be destroyed
by the first 3-4 their rokets. The  best  way  to destroy such
rocket installation - to fly with speed > 1050 km/h.

Closely look on an inscription  of  the  central  display  and
voice-messages  of  the  "onboard  computer",  assisting to be
oriented in difficult decor of the battle.

Recommended speed of flight - 512 km/h.

Do not forget to use 'TAB' button...

The Greatest amount of scores you can earn, applying airgun at
first,  second - rockets, and if to use bombs - scores are not
practically calculated.

First ten of missions for someone can look too  easy  to  win,
but give we shall look,  that you will tell, when will execute
more than 15 missions...  And if everyone will pass, undertake
for the editor of maps and levels of missions and create such,
that except you, anybody can not pass!

It is very impressive, when by dumping the bomb and, really by
turning your head back,  observe for its falling and result of
"explosion" or,  by looking in the side flying by airplanes of
opponent, to observe as they make pass for new attack!

At installation select installation of the version, supporting
this system.  The initialization keys of VFX1(TM) HEADGEAR and
CYBERPACK(TM) are necessary for pressing,  being  directly  in
the "flight":

- F3 - ON/OFF " 3D-HEAD TRACKING "
- F4 - ON/OFF " CYBERPACK "
- F5 - ON/OFF " FULL SCREEN "

Possibility to  use  JOYSTICK or Keyboard instead of CYBERPACK
is saved.

Attention: With VFX1(TM) HEADGEAR the game will not start from
Windows 95. Use DOS mode.
