This program is Freeware...  That is, you are free to copy it for your

HOW TO START THE GAME:

1.  Create a new directory:   (for example, C:\GAMES\QUEST)
2.  Put all of the QUEST files in this directory.
3.  Run "runfirst.bat"
4.  Run "quest.bat"
5.  Press "1" to start a new game.
6.  Once you are in your hometown, save the game.


This is an interactive computer Role-Playing Game.  Although there are no
graphics in this game, it is still a very enjoyable game to play.  During
your travels in QUEST, you will be able to use many different types of
weapons, armors, potions, and items.  Also, there are several secrets &
surprises hidden in QUEST.


THE STORY (so far):

DARK LORD, the archvillain, has taken over the five worlds that make up the
universe.

You are a brave warrior.  Every day, you and everyone else must live in fear
of DARK LORD's monsters.

One day, you decide that you've had enough, and you set out to defeat DARK
LORD and his army of monsters.  You take a dagger and some cash with you..

...and the QUEST begins!


HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:

Use the arrow keys to move your character around:

Up = North
Down = South
Left = West
Right = East
