Welcome to Break V2.3, a utility written by Dale Addink. Break is a program
that allows you to break apart the internal data files used by the game SVGA
Air Warrior. SVGA Air Warrior is written by Kesmai, published by Konami, and
played on the GEnie network.

The files can then be edited, allowing you to customize your displays, or
change the sounds in the game. Please read at least the "Quick Start" file,
STARTING.WRI, which is in Microsoft Write for Windows format, before using
Break.

If you are reading this you have already run the file BREAKV23.EXE. It is a
self-extracting archive and contains everything you need to run Break. You
should make a directory to contain the Break program, and either copy the
files from the archive to it, or decompress the archive in the new directory.
Files contained in the archive are as follows:

STARTING.WRI -- Quick start instructions in Windows Write format
HELP.WRI -- The full Break manual
BREAK.EXE -- The main Break program
BREAK.INI -- Configuration file for Break
FREQ.CNV -- Break data file; do not delete
DEF_PPAL.BIN -- Default palette file
README.TXT -- This file
GUNSCR.TXT -- Describes how gunsight scripts work
??????.GSS -- Any file ending with ".GSS" is a gun sight script
MASK <DIR> -- This directory contains all of the mask files for
various airplanes, required to edit their AW art.
AIRWAR.PIF -- Example Program Information File for Windows
allowing you to turn SVGA Air Warrior from within
                        Windows

If you make a new directory and just run the BREAKV23.EXE archive in it, it
will automatically create the correct pathnames. Once the program is
installed you can run it from Windows using the "File/Run" menu option in
Program Manager, or you can add an icon for break to a group by using the
"File/New/Program Item" menu option. Consult your Windows manual for
instructions on how to perform these functions.

If you have an older version of Break on your hard disk, you should delete
your BREAK.INI file from the previous version and use the new one supplied.
You can also delete TOOLSDLG.DLL if it exists in your old version.
