The Storybook

When you first begin using Electric Reading Land, the Storybook
starts you off with one sentence. The more your child learns, the
more of the story there is to read. Sentences may be seen one page
at a time by clicking on the arrow buttons below the text area.
Click on the robot, Mick, hovering above this text area and he will
read the sentence out loud. Clicking on the small lightening bolt
located on the left side of the Word Power Meter Bar (this shows
how many sentences your child currently has in the story) you will
return to the first page. To leave, click on the small spaceship icon
in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

The Storybook is an ideal place to see how your child is
progressing through the lessons. As your child learns and
advances, more sentences are added to the story. The red Word
Power Meter bar extends farther to the right as each new sentence
is added. The story grows as your child plays the word games in
Dino Beach and Dragon Park and gathers lightening bolts with
each correct answer. The text of the story has been created using
the word elements of the lessons, following their progressive order
through the word games. By following the lesson order, most of
the most the vocabulary in the sentences will be within your child's
range of learning. When all the lessons have been successfully
learned, the entire story will be contained in the Storybook.
