                          Harrier Jump Jet
                          ----------------

1. The details on the Tactical Compass Display (defaults to
left-hand MFD) have been changed to aid the playability of
    the simulation.
The dots have now been colour-coded as follows:
Blue dots - aircraft 250ft or more below you
Orange dots - aircraft within 250ft above or below you
Red dots - aircraft 250ft or more above you
        Green dots - ground objects
        Red tracers - infra-red (heat-seeking) missiles
White tracers - pulse radar guided missiles
Yellow tracers - doppler radar guided missiles

2. As a further enhancement to the simulation, we have added
a joystick sensitivity option. There are three settings -
High, Medium and Low. The default setting is high, but
you may find this too sensitive for your liking. You can
access this feature either by way of the in-game Menu bar
(Press Esc, select Config, Control, & then Joystick
Sensitivity), or by pressing the 'J' key on the keyboard.
This key toggles between the three options.

3. Weapon Locking Modes - Easy mode has been amended to allow
you only to lock onto targets displayed in the tactical
compass MFD, and only targets in a forward 120 degree arc.
Moderate mode is similar, but only allows you to lock onto
targets in a forward 90 degree arc.

4. The Technical Supplement included with the game includes a
description of the 'Dogfight' option. This states that
you have an unlimited quantity of Sidewinders & Cannons.
In practice, we found this to be too easy! You now have a
limited supply of weapons which are only replenished after
    you have performed 20 kills.

5. The autopilot can be switched off as stated in the manual
by pressing the 'A' key, or in addition by moving your
specified controller at any time. (i.e. Move your joystick
    or press your cursor keys).

6. Because of the memory and graphic intensive nature of Harrier
Jump Jet, you must have at least 1Mb of RAM on your computer.
In addition, there must be 613,376 bytes free in order to run
the simulation, which means you have to load DOS into a high
memory area. To keep things simple we have included a program
called 'Bootmake' with the game, which will automatically
configure a floppy disk that will enable you to boot your
computer with the correct memory requirements. As part of the
procedure, the current path and any mouse driver found in your
startup files, will be automatically copied across to the boot
    disk.

7. And finally .... a special thanks to those who helped produce
