SQUYNCH is a text adventure game in which you must challenge the evils
and mysteries of the Land of Squynchia which lays in turmoil, attacked
and plundered by hordes of ogres and orcs. The Lords of the Squynchian
empire once had themeansofcontrolling these...these BEASTS!,but it
has been stolen. It is thefabled and legendary Ruby of Ancient
Franklore.

Your challenge is to recover the ruby and return it to its rightful
place.

If you get totally stuck, SQUYNCH.SOL has the complete "walkthru"
solution for the game.

SQUYNCH uses a "beta-test" version of the Adventure Game Toolkit. This
version has a number of improvements over the most recently "offically"
released version of AGT (version 1.3). Specifically, the "beta-test"
version has: (1) an OOPS feature, (2) the ability for the user to
customize the "look-and-feel" of the game's interface, and (3) an
optional "menu-driven" parser.

The interface/options/menu may be changed by hitting the ESC key while
playing the game.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I need to get a real test of this beta-test version. Please play this
game, try all the options, and let me know what worked right, what
worked wrong, what you think should be changed and/or improved, and,
generally, how you liked the new version.

You opinion is very important to me. Please tell me what you think!!

I can be reached by the following methods:

   (1) By leaving a message in the 'Softworks' forum on BIX (the BYTE
        Information Exchange).

   (2) By CompuServe E-Mail to David Malmberg, CompuServe ID 73435,1277.

   (3) By GEnie E-Mail to D.MALMBERG.

   (4) By letter to: David Malmberg

                                           94539

NOTE: The option menu has an option labeled GRAPHICS which may be set
ON or OFF. This option does not do anything in the current 1.5
"beta-test" version. In Version 2.0 of AGT (which I am hard at work on)
this option will enable the user to view .PCX graphics files during the
adventure.
