No one is saying anything in the City
Council meeting. The Mayor waves at you
helplessly. Lexi waves back.

You look around and notice that there is
no Proverb Prescription here.
*179
You say, "We can't help them if there
isn't a Proverb Prescription here. I
guess we had better move along."

Lexi nods in agreement and you both walk
down Main Street.
*180
You go up the marble steps that lead
into the Town Hall. A sign says:

CITY COUNCIL MEETING, 6:00.

You look at your watch and notice that
it is 6:30. When you get inside you
realize that something is wrong. All of
the council members are sitting around a
big oak table, but no one is saying a
word. What kind of meeting is this?!
*181
Lexi jumps off your shoulder and starts
walking up and down the oak table. The
council members all stare at her--but no
one speaks.

Lexi noses your grandfather's satchel.

"Should I cast the Proverb Prescription
I'm carrying to try to undo [CSPELL]?"
you ask.
*185
The City Council is silent. Lexi pulls a
pin out of your grandfather's satchel
and drops it.

"Yes," she says, "it's so quiet in here,
you can hear a pin drop."

"Should I cast the Proverb Prescription
I'm carrying to try to undo [CSPELL]?"
you ask.
*188
Ten throats clear at the same time. Then
the council members start arguing.

"Everything is back to normal! We've
done it!" you shout.

"It was as easy as pie!" Lexi says
proudly. You smile, scratch Lexi's
ears and quietly slip out of the Town
Hall.
*189
The City Council meeting is in full
swing. In the Town Hall, it is business
as usual.

You and Lexi leave quietly.
*190
Above, you see the words of the Saying
Spell and the jumbled Proverb
Prescription. Lexi hisses at them.

"It doesn't look like [CURE] is
working here," you think.

Do you want to take this Proverb
Prescription with you to your
grandfather's house?
*191
Lexi jumps off your shoulder and chases
her tail clockwise, faster and faster.
You hear a high-pitched hum. The Proverb
Prescription in the sky begins to
wobble...and grow smaller. When it is
very small, it drifts down towards Lexi.
When the phrase is close enough, Lexi
reaches up and grabs it with her teeth.
She brings the phrase over to you and
you put it in your grandfather's
satchel.

A strange sparkling cloud hovers over
the satchel.
*194
You look up above the [LOC] and see the
correct Proverb Prescription blocking
Verbal von Doom's evil Saying Spell. But
you notice that the Proverb Prescription
that was above you when you arrived is
gone.

You look at Levi.

"Don't worry, [NAME], it's in the bag!"
she quips. You reach through the
sparkling cloud above the satchel, and
check inside. [CURE] is tucked away
safely.
*195
Do you want to leave your Proverb
Prescription here?
*196
You reach through the sparkling cloud
and open your grandfather's satchel.
Lexi jumps off your shoulder and chases
her tail counter-clockwise, faster and
faster. You hear a low-pitched hum. The
Proverb Prescription drifts out of your
bag and floats upwards, growing as it
gets higher in the air. Soon it is right
below the Saying Spell.

Lexi jumps back onto your shoulder and
you head off to another part of Truism.
*197
You take a deep breath and say the words
[CC] as loud as you can.

There is a sparkle in the air and...
*198
"This isn't where this Proverb
Prescription belongs, [NAME]," says
Lexi. "We can see an index to the
Proverb Prescriptions by typing '?'."

"You're right, Lexi," you say. "We
have to figure out where this jumbled
Proverb Prescription belongs."

"Remember, the first part of the
Proverb Prescription will always be in
the location where it will counteract
the Saying Spell."
*199
You take a deep breath and say the
words [CC] as loud as you can.

Nothing happens!
